I took the Nov 8 SAT test, and I have the scores automatically going to Columbia. Do I need to let them know beforehand to expect these scores? I gave them my scores from June, but I think I can do better and so I retook them in November. But I don't recall any place in the application to let them know that they would be getting additional scores. I want them to consider these scores because I believe they will be better than June scores.

Well on the Common App, you can self-report scores as well as report any future testing dates. So if you reported your future test dates, they would know to look out for the scores.

But you do not have to self-report anything on the Common App. As long as you send the scores to the university, you should be fine. Maybe you could call/email the admissions office to verify.
