Nova meal Plan/COFFEE!

i am a BIG coffee drinker and im wondering how this will affect what meal plan i choose.

do they serve coffee in the dining halls? like would i be able to bring a thermos in and fill it up? if so, unlimited seems to be the best for me

if i can not get coffee from the dining halls i know i can get it from holy grounds but im wondering how much a coffee basically is so i can try and determine how many points i would go through in a semester.

i always thought also you would not be allowed a coffee machine in your room... is this correct?

suggestions on best meal plan according to my coffee addiction?

bump bump

Yes, you can get coffee in any dining hall and fill it up with a thermos. Many people do that.

I actually think you would be allowed a coffee machine in your dorm room, but PLEASE CHECK WITH RESIDENCE LIFE (email them) and see. DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. I never saw anybody with a coffee machine in their room, bascially because I think it’s more convenient to just grab coffee from the dining hall at each meal or at Holy Grounds.

As a freshman, I’d just suggest getting unlimited to see what your eating habits are at college. The MPs are really really confusing at Nova.

Bascially, with unlimited
-You get as many times to the dining hall as you want (Don’t worry; You will get sick of them haha)

 • You get 2 “Meal Plan Expresses” per day: Where you can use up to $4.75 at Holy Grounds/ Connley Center for Breakfast or $6.75 at Holy Grounds, Italian Kitchen, Corner Grille, or Connley Center after 10:45 in the morning.

I hope that helped.
Don’t stress too much about the MP.
You can change it once you get to school within the first 2 weeks, I believe.

so basically if i go with the unlimited i will essentialy get unlimited coffee?

My son is a freshman this year and both he and his roommate have coffee makers in the room! They are in Stanford!!

Yep. If you get ulimited, you will have ulimited coffee from the dining halls from 7:30 in the morning till 7:45pm. After those hours, you need to use points to buy coffee at the Sparket or Holy Grounds locations—prolly about a dollar.

And, glad it’s clarified that you CAN have coffeemakers in your room.

fantastic, thank you all
