November 2012 SAT Math Level II Discussion

What did you guys get for xyz plane? I got y=3/2

yep (1,1,3) (1,2,3)

x and z are same

3/2 is halfway between 2 and 1
y = 3/2

@byahnoob I think it said MUST be true. Although my memory can be terribly wrong since I also took chemistry right afterwards.

What I got was the following:

y=3/2
2 of the f-1(x) were even
the things were divisible by 2 and 3
abs(sec)
m_0/2^t

yeah -.- but its prob I, II

omg i better still get an 800 so many stupid mistakes

What did you guys get for #1 and #2? lol.

1 was when is this function undefined- and it was x=1

2 was parallel lines - k=m

1 yep got that x=1 there is a hole

2 not sure what the question was

@byahnoob Dont worry dude!, the test wasn’t super easy so -5 will still get you 800! :)

@byahnoob
I got I II, but not III because… for example: 1x2x3=6 6 is not divisible by 4…
I may have misread the question though

Wait, -k=m?

There was a negative sign in front of that k?

Nooo sorry, it was k=m not -k=m. My bad :)

i dont know -.- haha i finished the whole test but ehhhhhhhhh… at least a 750 will suffice

but thanks man haha

I think he/she meant - as a hyphen, Iris. I also got k = m

Does anyone remember the answer about the paper that was folded? it involved feet and inches… I think I got 10 as an answer

yea its 10… 122. something / 12 = 10. something

Alright I’m gonna help you guys out a bit. I see a lot of unanswered questions. After looking at a lot of answers I think I saw 30-40 and I got 2 wrong (800 hopefully unless I made 4 more dumb mistakes in 10-20 questions) from stupid mistakes lol I can’t type the righht thing in my calc. (somehow got a question wrong like that) :DDDDD
Chance of in country and out of country calls is 4/9 (1/3)(2/3) +(2/3)(1/3) because they never specified order.
I/III for inverse.
Deviation (difference) was 8.4
st deviation was 0.1 (don’t confuse these two questions the 2 posters were both right but for dif questions)
triangle / + in circle was 6/4 x 5/3 = 10/4 =2.5 so answer was 6x2/4=3
the ax^2 + bx +c =x is 2 because ax^2 + (b-1)x +c = 0 is like the same thing
height of cone was like 24 something because r=6 something
folded 12 times = 10ft lol I put 122 inches :stuck_out_tongue: oops
y is unbounded for the 1 limit question (y approaches infinity)
For divisible prob it was I/II 2 because there is always an even number and 3 because in any 3 consecutive integers there’s always 1 divisible by 3… in a sequence like this in any order 3n-1, 3n, 3(n+1)-2

I got 10 as well for the paper folded. ^

Also, Mn0 / 2^t

so far i got the 3 consecutive integers wrong and chance of in country/out country probability problem

hope this is all -.-

@olaolaola

good **** i got that too i almost got it wrong…

Guys I’m really kinda worried about this test cause I need it to apply to the more competitive schools on my list, what score would suffice for… let’s say Cornell?
Also I go to high school in Bolivia… if that changes anything…
