***November 2013 - Literature***

Just wanted to start this. What question's you had, general consensus.

Who wants to discuss Lit :)

Test was ok imo, though you can never know for sure. That feeling you get when you see a poem you’ve read before though… it feels good

yea i didnt get thtat anywhere. Thought it was hard but you never know

Does anyone remember the question where two of the answer choices were platitudes and malapropisms? I put malapropisms but i’m not sure…

I put malapropisms as well, but I’m not entirely sure. Does anyone remember what they put for the very last question? Had to make a quick educated guess on it.

Was one of your answers I only? I know I put III and IV for the first question, but there was another one.

i think i put that she doesnt like her mom coming because it conflicts with her emotional and social whatever because the passage was about a secret lover but i rushed that passage so idk.

i think its to keep the 2 parts of her life seperate

I think I also put to keep her double life separate glogounov. Do you guys remember what you put for what the purpose of the exclamation “-oh Joseph!” was?

if I see a list of answers I can tell you wihch one I chose but i dont remember off the top of my head

Ardent desire, I think. The way the lady misused the italicized words almost made me laugh out loud!

What about the one that asked which of these does not reflect the poem title? I couldn’t decide between jukebox overtaken or I am the sunbeam

Angel I put sunbeam because jukebox had something to do with dancing. How about the question asking who would find the woman funny?

I answered malapropism., III and IV, Jukebox, and ardent desire.

***** was hard and I’m not even in AP Lit.

Was the predator paragraph an epic simile?

I answered epic simile.

IMO the predator and Yolanda paragraphs were easy. All the other were difficult/moderately difficult.

I said only the narrator and the reader would find her funny, because Joseph seemed kind of frightened by her. I also said epic simile.

Was Joseph insulting and mocking her passion?

I also was unsure about the poem with the reference to Nicus and the footrace

AP English didn’t really help at all- even after taking AP, I thought the test was difficult

I’m pretty sure I said it was! I hope everyone did well.

i think i also put epic simile.
ardent desire.
insult and mocking
inverted syntax for one (but i was confused about this one)

for the poem reference i think i put something about the readers academic studies because she continued writing after the oldman died or whatever and that was the point of nicus.
