****November 2013 SAT Thread***

@cherym
I put to add description of how the drinks were altered.

@TexasApex
I also got -6/9 simplified to -2/3

Is Barron’s SAT any good?

And also, What is the MINIMUM SAT score that i should have before applying to any college or elite university? Don’t tell me I am a wannabe. I am just curious. I might not go to those elite universities anyway.

Heralded and idiosyncratic doesn’t make sense.

I said touted and indiscriminate.

Touted = priase (informal)

Indiscriminate = descriptive (non conformity)

They wouldn’t need to herald the fashion artist, though they may complement her for idiosyncracy it isn’t as rare as indiscriminate vision in fashion, and herald makes no sense when you consider the direction of the sentence.

Did anyone get the test form that had these reading passages:
-Music Authenticity
-Some swimmer woman
-Letters from Abigail Adams
-Some Iran old community
-Mars

Was John Adams attitude affectionate yet dismissive?
And what was the answer to the question regarding John Adams’ Compliment with answer choices crude, offensive, etc?
and was Mars being “inviting” indicative of its favorable comparing to other planets or of its future development?

I put favorable to other planets. The Abigail Adams/John Adams questions I didn’t have.

use the other threads so it doesn’t get confusing…there are threads for the different versions

Also, for the math question that said “If an odd number that ends with 1 is prime, then the next odd number is also prime” and you had to pick the false pair, what did some of you get?

TexasApex- I got 61 and 63. 63/7= 9 and 63/9 = 7.

I got that one also, I think I got all my “unsure” questions right on the math! :)

Was it 4 roots for f(x) -1? And r +s =225? And rate =48?

@embargo, I believe so

For U.S. test takers, was the section 6 writing experimental?

It contained a question that mentioned the book all quiet on the western front.

I had 4 CR’s and I believe the experimental was the Green Chemistry passage because there was one less question in that section than there typically is for a CR section

green chemistry was not experimental.

What was the average speed and I thought f(x)-1 was 3 roots and what was the triangle with 2 tangents

@yangfizz why do you say that?

i only did 3 cr sections.

@just4notherguy the triangle with 2 tangents is 125 i think

what was the question and answer with the f(x)-1 math question. it asked how many times the graph went through the x-axis?

average speed was 48 but I thought it intersected the graph only one time on the f(x)-1
