****November 2013 SAT Thread***

does any1 remember the answer to the last section’s q. n0 11, which stated, “________ , the state would…”
I hd a doubt with these options…
a) were they…
b) having been…
i knw i hvnt writtn actual lin of d options , bt if any1 remembrs it, pls confirm…

This was partial answer for the GARDENING PASSAGE

 1. people believe they need to control nature
 2. explain through illustration (debated-could be develop a counterargument)
 3. was inquisitive
 4. a sudden revelation
 5. bee was an agent

I think the “familiar but undeserved” answer in the censorship text was the right one, given that in the second passage the author started by describing how people thought censors were, and then went on to explain how they were actually very different from the “familiar” image.

I must have overlooked!

Historical reference, no offense , is stupid. :p

I just posted in the previous comment. I came down to the two choices and felt it talked about the “history” of the bees-flowers relationship so i chose appeal to authority.

Appeal the authority is the correct answer.

Isn’t the second passage merely distinguishing censors and librarians who choose reading materials for students? The second author does not like the censors, either.

Does anyone remember the answer for the last question of section 10?

i marked “c” bt not sure

yeah it was “you practice”

They asserted the answer was “you play”

kkkkkkk  @ bestofthebest

What does everyone think about the CR and writing sections? I thought both of them were pretty easy, so I’m thinking the curves might be pretty harsh :/

yeah, writing section was surely an easy 1, n i would have got 800 if i had not made a silly mistake…

Math was easy as well. CR wasn’t that easy; there were couple tricky questions.

Undeserved?
How does it make sense? Please explain

Yeah, I think they’ll be pretty harsh… what about math? What do you think you’ll get for 1 wrong answer?

I took Oct and Nov. Nov’s CR is definitely harder than Oct’s. I got a 690 for 7 wrong. This time I am expecting a better curve.

Harder or harsher? 7 wrong is more like 700 according to recent administered test
