November SAT is screweed up

I just looked at my full report for november sat I today, and it said that for writing (760) i got 1 wrong and 2 blank. I know for SURE i answered everything.... (unless i skipeed 2 questions by accident). And also a friend of mine had it say 2 blanks as well, even though he said he didn't skip any either. what is going on...... and shoudl i ask for hand scoring?/

ps what is 1 wrong and 10 essay worth for november sats?

That's what I got.

my score went down a LOTTTTT did they mess up or something? i thought i did well.

it's entirely possible that they found those two questions 'questionable' and threw them out.

If your absolutely sure about those two questions, go ahead. But your score could go down if the blanks were wrong.

I wouldn't. You can't get back more than 30 points. That isn't going to make or break your app, especially when you already have a 760.

Bluebayou -

Has that happened before?

mathwiz: agreed. u r takin a risk by doing that and 760 is already high score..

Questionable answers on the MC happen all the time. But that doesn't mean that it happened to you.

They don't add an "omit" on your end of the report, if they make a mistake like that. Instead, they change the total number of questions.

I got one "omit" on my writing section, too, and I am also sure that I didn't leave any blank. I have a 770 already and I can't decide whether I should risk it to have it hand scored.

Well, it's probable that ETS threw out a writing MC question on the Oct. test since the total number of questions on the report is 48 instead of the usual 49. I had zero omits, so my best guess is that they simply change the total number of questions and do not adjust the # of omits at all.

My score didn't even come out yet. I wonder whats taking them so long....Now i have to wait until December 3rd. By then I'm afraid that it might be too late to send in my SAT scores to colleges. :(

yeah it said i left one blank and i'm almost positive that i answered every question

weird; I have 2 wrong and 1 omit for Writing, and I thought I answered everything.

edit: there's no way I'm asking for rescoring--780 is 120 pts higher than my last one, yo.

I got 5 wrong. I've never done that poorly on a practice test. Eek!

So did they really have 4 D's in a row? My friend only got one question wrong and put 4 D's. I got 5 wrong and switched one of the D's.

oh yeah i remember a few D's in a row

everyone email collegeboard
