November SAT

Gosh I’m getting more and more scared…anyone recommend what I should do to study for the last day tomorrow? My weakest is cr

Current score: 2030

Hopefully a 700 Math (From 600) and a 2200+ total this time.

I did not prepare the first time, but this time I have gone through several practice tests for 30-40 hours of time. That isn’t as much as other people but I’m more confident that I was for the last SAT :p

^ i was just telling my friend the exact same thing. I feel alot more prepared and hence more confident than the last time I took the SAT.

@warlands, CR is my weakest area too and the only advice i have is to just keep practicing. Keep up with your vocabulary work, but don’t try to cram in more words than normal—doing so will not make much of a difference in your score and trying to do so will just heighten your anxiety level at a time when you should be taking it easy. the key is just to keep yourself in the SAT frame of mind, not necessarily by overloading yourself with 5 full tests in one day, but you can tackle some difficult questions from a section.

Again, I’m the poster boy for Rocket Review, here’s an excerpt from his book where he talks bout what to do the morning of the SAT date.

[What to Do the Week Before the SAT - FamilyEducation.com](http://school.familyeducation.com/college-prep/sat/39915.html?page=4&detoured=1)

I find it quite insightful!

I’m international too, and took my first one in June. I’ve been doing fairly on the practice tests, but where would the stars be tomorrow?! I’m terrified.

yea that’s the thing, we’ll never know what the test is gonna be like until we sit it. it could be easier than the practice test we’ve been doing or it could be harder. "/

All there is to do now is just review and hope we do well!!

I know there are several potheads about this already but I’m wondering whether I should take the sat tomorrow. I have taken a few practice tests this week and I feel that I can definetly increase my score but I’m wondering if i should at this point(senior year)
And I havnt really prepared besides casual glances and taking a few practice tests…should I take it again?

I would say no, don’t take it tomorrow. Given that you’re a senior every time you take the SAT should count, don’t just do it for doing it sake, leave that for the sophomores.

I would suggest you get a book and do some serious studying between now and December and take it then when you’re more prepared.

PS. what’s your current score?

I’ve done 3 practice test and have scored above 2000 on them

Hmmm… 1960 to 2000 isn’t a far jump. I would study for the December SAT to maximize on the increase, but hey that’s just me.

^ DMA is right … it might be better to take the December SAT, but its up to you :)

Wish all November takers good luck! :D

Nervous for the SAT tomorrow :)

I’m still debating whether I should come on CC after the test. I feel terrible whenever I find out that I got some stupid questions wrong… :(

I’ll def be here after the SAT! the post-SAT-discussion will help me predict my scores

I’m preparing tonight by eating pasta and reading Tolstoy. I love my study habits.

listening to Augustana while editing pictures! that’s my SAT prep right now lol

I set my goals too high, so I’m not sure about it. But I did study a lot, so the worst that can happen is I tried my best and slightly improved my score.

By the way should I send my old scores in case my new ones aren’t as good? I meant to send my old scores to UMD-CP when I took them in March, but I forgot to and now I have to pay $10.50. Is there a way to get around that? CB is a really lucrative company with all the catches they have… I didn’t send my March scores to anyone I don’t think.

I’m confident I’ll improve on my Math and maintain/improve my reading though, so I’m thinking of just sending these scores.

I’m taking them tomorrow too. I’m so nervous, but I’m only (hopefully) going to a state school. I haven’t studied… I was just wondering if it is absolutely necessary to bring a cd player?

I’m taking it tomorrow and feeling quite confident. Good luck to everyone.

@ Niichol3, are you doing a Subject Test with listening? if so then I think you need to carry a CD player.

@Praying, If you’re that confident then wait and submit these scores.

what time does the test start for you guys?
