I just got my ACT scores, and they fell short of my SAT scores. On the SAT I got 1820
(M 670 CR 560 and W 590) on the ACT I got a 26 ( E 26, M 30 R 21 and S 28). On the SAT's I am positive that I could do better on Critical Reading, my score should have been somewhere in the 620-640 range (as they were in practice runs), and as you probably could have guessed I could probably done WAY better on Reading in the ACT. I didn't study much for the ACT, I did somewhat for the SAT. and also I don't think I could replicate my math score for the SAT (in practice I was scoring 580-610). If I retake the SAT I could expect about an 1850 (Pushing up my "best section" score to CR 640 M 670 W 600 (rough estimate) 1910ish), but if I retake the ACT I don't know how good or bad I could do, but I', sure I could boost reading to like a 25 or 26 (Assuming these hold or improve) that would be a 27-29. on that section I felt a bit rushed, and I probably did poorly towards the end when I was scrambling to meet time.

I plan on taking the SAT IIs for UC's (though I honestly don't care about them, I'm only applying in case I suddenly want to stay)

Also I plan on applying as early as possible to the schools I plan on applying to. Retaking would be aimed at 5 schools on my list: Wisconsin, Texas, Washington, Pitt and Ohio State, I have safeties after that, but these are definitively my top 5.

Should I retake? What Test? and When? and should I apply, and submit my SAT score first, then submit my second test if necessary?
