Now, when you say you write a lot of papers...

Does that mean they're like 3-5/4-6 page papers (meaning in humanities classes), or are they monstrous: 10-20 page papers?

I've been hearing from a few people that at least at ucla getting 8 papers per quarter total from all your classes, where some of them are at least 15 pages, is nothing out of the ordinary.

If that's true...I'm going to fall in love with size 30 font and love it. Yep.

and triple-spaced?

double bump!

I’m going to abuse the writing center.

umm… I had to write a 30 page paper at my JC this semester and I am writing a 15 page one right now for the same class… I’m sure you will be able to handle the work load or they wouldn’t have let you in! haha

30 page paper ***? The longest I have written is 14-17 pages…

Most of mine are 4-8 pages, though.

well it was a research thing for psych so it really wasn’t that bad, we had to talk about 4 different disorders. I wouldn’t stress out, i’m sure all of you are more then capable of handling the workload.

Change all the periods with a font size 14 and it makes a big difference.

how old are you, 13?

geeeez… man up

@bagels - You need to chill the **** out and stop being so serious.

Wingding font.

matt511

that trick has saved my a ss so many times!!! :)

I know that period thing works because people have showed me, but I would never do it.

longest paper i’ve ever done is 15 pages on surrealism…and i tried the period thing once, but it ended up going over the max page limit haha, so i just decided to write more w/o it 14 font…

this is why I took philosophy instead of english to fulfill my critical thinking requirement.

I had to write a 1 page, double spaced paper for an extra credit assignment once… turns out I’d still have gotten an A w/o the assignment though.

BLAH!!!
Well, I know the periods in font 14 buuuut what if the prof’s found out!? It’s totally GENIUS but oy. lol. And–just because we got into wherever we got into doesn’t mean we’ve ever (or me, rather) had to write a 14-17 page paper-I dunno if I could handle doing two of those in one semester. Unless it was a fiercely interesting topic or unless it was like done in a way that it wasn’t actually writing about one thing. haha.

I’m taking a philosophy class for my critical thinking requirement right now. In the entire class we have five five page papers, which isn’t so bad.

The longest I’ve ever written was thirty pages, line and a half spacing, but it was a personal thing. For school, the longest was maybe eleven or twelve pages. I’ve a feeling writing papers will be one of the major stressors of the transferred life.

^ Agreed. Multiple choice, fill in the blank scantron based tests, how I’ll miss you!

as long as the papers are interesting it’ll be A OK!! (emphasis on the A!)
For instance, I’m in a critical thinking class and we have one 4-5 pg paper to write and it’snot a hard class but it’s based on like politics and my brain literally just does NOT process politics–so–■■■
