Hi, I’m starting Davis in the fall and am wondering about the plausibility of double majoring in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior as well as English. I want to be a physical therapist, so NPB is to prepare for grad school, but I also am deeply passionate about literature and writing. I am a Regents scholar, so I’ll have priority registration after first quarter. I know that once I start taking classes my plans may completely change and I’m ready for that; for now, though, this is the plan I want. How doable do you think it will be for me to complete this double major?
Thanks!

It would be doable, though you’re increasing your chances of not graduating in four years. If you don’t mind that and are truly passionate about both subjects (after taking classes in both, of course), I’d say go for it. Have you considered a minor in English, though? If either graduation time is a concern or you take some classes and discover that you’re not as interested in the subject as you initially thought, I’d suggest doing that.
