jjplaya- check previous year’s threads. I think they talk about it some

I completed my phone interview and it was just some basic questions

Have you been suspended from school, have you been outside of the country in the past 5 years, how (if you are employed) is your attendance at work…etc

And then they told me about the conditions of the scholarship and employment with the NSA…thats about it

Thanks for the consolation everyone!
I was really ****ed when I got rejected, but I am just simply a horrible test taker… I am a very hard worker, so I am just going to work my hardest to prove to them that I would be an asset to them. I will be applying for an undergraduate co-op program next year. Hope to see yall there! I guess I could compromise and join the CIA? Although, I really wanted to play on the billion dollar computer system/facility they are building in my state!
Anyone know of any programs for computer scientist majors that help you pay for college (excluding stupid Microsoft)?
Congratulations to everyone who made it- let me know if those polygraphs really work! :)

I still haven’t received an acceptance or rejection letter…

I still haven’t received word either way.

So I was looking over previous year’s threads and one person had waited nine days more than everyone else to receive his acceptance email. Seeing as how everyone seemed to be notified on the 16th this year, there’s a small possibility we may get some notificaiton today. There’s still hope for us maskedtwilight. =)

I hope so ^^
I mean, we should at least get a reply from them…

Has anyone received the email regarding scheduling the personal interview, polygraph and psych eval.?

If so, what was in the email? What date did you schedule them for?

Thanks

I was emailed regarding processing. I go up later this month.

The email just tells you to contact them with dates you are available. Once you do that(I did on the phone), they send another email with extremely specific directions and information for what needs to be done. I will be calling their travel agency tomorrow to make flight arrangements and hotel reservations.

Has anyone visited the campus yet and had their interview, polygraph and psych eval? How did you do? What was it like (what kinds of things did they ask, atmosphere, what should we expect, how long did it take, etc.)? Any tips or comments?

Thanks!

Im going to be a Senior this year and going to apply, any tips for the essay? And anything on the polygraph interview?

Hate to break it to you, but you already missed the deadline…it was june 1st. When you went to “Apply Online” and did a search for the job so you could apply, that page said they were accepting apps from april 30 to june 1. Since the other page said September 1 to November 30, I called to check…it was june 1st. But you should be able to apply next year I guess…

I called a month ago and I was told the deadline on:

[Student Programs at the National Security Agency (NSA) - High School Student Programs](National Security Agency Careers | Apply Now)

was the correct date.

*plus i just called and confirmed, i have the correct deadline

Well it sounds like they have some mixed signals. I called about May 25th, told them about the listing of 2 different deadlines; the lady I talked to tracked down the recruiter and told me that June 1st was right…so I applied online (and the application is no longer available…I just checked) and sent in the paper stuff…

I guess they’re a little mixed up. Hope it works out for you! :)

Or maybe it’s different for college students! I just thought of that…I’m applying as a college sophomore/math major. So it could be a different deadline for HS students…

I just spoke with someone from the hiring department as well and they confirmed that September through November they would be accepting applications. It may also have to do with which branch you are applying for. I’m applying for the intel annalyst program and I am a college sophomore.

hi guys i applied this past year and made it to the semifinalist stage. The interview and the psyc eval weren’t bad. The polygraph was pretty bad though. The lady administering it started yelling at me telling me that I was lying, but I wasn’t lying. I cant think of any great tips to give you but if anyone has any questions feel free to pm me. One other thing they told us at the interview that they look at this site and made reference to this specific thread and told us not to discuss it anymore lol
