NU ED responses yet anyone?

Last year I heard it was around 28%?... My worry is the 300 more applicants. :/ Hopefully percentages won't go down.

I think I live the closest to NU so I will post as soon as I get any mail... but if the decision comes out online then we should all get the emails at the same time!!

^^ Thanks aturof, best of luck!

For RD it was around 28%, For ED, (im using the numbers on collegeboard) 1296 applied and 567 accepted thats actually like 43% or around 44%, but there are more ED applicants this year so idk if that rate will go down or stay the same

this site is so addicting!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait aturof where do you go to school?

Im so jelous that you live near northwestern
NU accepts hell of a lot more IL residents than New England students.

glenbrook south

In gleview okay yeah thats not too far

theone- and actually I think it works in ur advantage that you're from New England, I think more students from illinois are accepted because more apply from illinois

i'm an int'l student
i can't wait for a snail mail!! it may take half a month!
gosh, plz, plz tell me the decision ONLINE on next tuesday!!

What about the southwest?

I know there aren't alot applying from my state, but the area in general? It was be considered as somewhat geographical diversity-- yes?

Ah, numbers and percentages drive me crazy. D:

I fear I'm a borderline person too. I know my recommendations are really good, and I'm pretty confident about my essays, so I can only hope...

I'M ON AT 7:17 AM HOW SAD IS THIS.
My mom's really paranoid that they have like a quota of international students they'll accept... is that true?

and arghhh i don't want to wait for the mail either!!! even though I only live as far as canada. hahaha.

so can someone clarify the whole login thing? what i'm hearing from different forums is that there is no login this year, or that it's all coming by snail mail? and what does small vs. big envelope mean?

I don't know about a quota... But I've heard it's a bit more selective to apply as an international.

nutterbutter- NU seems to be considering to not have an early login (or we all would hae recieved them), what may happen is they mail letters out next Tuesday and possibly send out emails to either alert us of the mail or provide an online way to check our decision. Usually, when someone is rejected, they recieve a small envelope and a big one if accepted (more info about now attending NU). However, some schools send small letters for either decision, but if you do get a big envelope from NU, it usually means acceptance.

Whew, my ramble lol... CC is addicting, I've got class in 30.

ohhh effff. so i guess we're all praying for the big envelope.

i'm actually on the brink of insanity.
has anyone gotten ANY emails of any kind from northwestern in the past few days?
and i forget, what did someone say the earliest we'd receive emails/mail was?

@nutterbutter - someone on one of these threads said Tuesday (or Monday at the ABSOLUTE earliest). But if the only type of notification they're doing is snail mail, that only means they'll send it on that day and we'll get it...whenever.

If only they were doing logins this year, we'd almost certainly find out on Tuesday or whatever.

ughh the pains of being an int'l student.
even though i'm only as far as canada.

I just called (again, I know, whatever >.>;;)
and they said that they are on a new system this year so
-drum roll please-
NO ONLINE LOGIN

I HATE YOU NU

WHY did I apply here??

sigh Because I love the school...duh... =)
