NU ED responses yet anyone?

Quick Question:

I just found out that a few of the teachers that I had sent teacher recommendation forms had actually sent Northwestern the recommendations when I had explicitly asked them to give to my counselor after completed...I thought that they had just missed the deadline and forgot to write it...Now Northwestern has 6 (I sent three...and the school of music asked me to send a letterhead recommendation from my piano teacher)...Do you think I should call the office and tell them that I didn't mean to send that many? Do you think it matters?

So nervous..
WCAS and Bienen (piano)

CC is so addicting, I can't even get my homework started or done before i check it and im so anxious!

yeah, i dont know, because when i called they said they're pretty much done with the decisions and they are only doing the borderline people right now, but you might want to call im not sure. wait six recs, from six different people, or double of the same teacher recs?

so right now our fate with NU is probably already decided lol, woah thats a scary thought!

Lovelyshakencoco, what do you (or they) mean by "borderline" people?

It means applicants that are on the "borderline" of either being accepted/deferred/or rejected I think.

She didnt actually say that, she just said they made most of the decisions, what I meant to say is the people who the admissions committee are having trouble to come to a concensus on to either accept or deny.

Yeah what Ink said

6 recommendations from 6 different people.
2 music
4 academic

hey wat schools are you guys from since you're also from illinois!

I'M GOING NUTS ALONE IN MY ROOM.
My exams start next week and I proooobably won't be studying because I'll be compulsively checking by e-mail and mailbox.

Thinking that they've already decided our fate is freaking me out right now.
I'm an international ED applicant, applied to SoC

Ps. I know I'm a loser but can someone pleeaaase chance me? I started a thread like yesterday and i have noooo replies:( everyone is so smart. fml.

ep1th3t, it's probably too late for them to be able to do anything about it. With 2 music though, I'm sure they understood.

Oh boy, I hope the decision comes out tuesday. Most of my friends will be getting their decisions early next week and I don't want to be the only one left out of the celebration. ><

Haha, I have Northwestern's # saved on my phone. Maybe I should pester them about it tomorrow?

They're probably gonna mail them by monday or tuesday to guarantee a desicion for ppl by the 15th. Ppl who are closest to NU will probably get the decision the quickest. I hope i don't get a small letter...

aturof... i go to Northside Prep in CPS

Ugh... It's extremely difficult to be distracted from both CC and Northwestern lol. I'm really hoping they send small letters to everyone, so I won't feel mortified by seeing a small letter.

Unfortunately, with everyone I see applying, I think I may be one of those borderline people... :/ Hopefully my essays worked?

Oh and everyone that is an Illinois ED applicant, will you post when you recieve your letter/ if it was big or small? I have a feeling I'll be getting mine pretty late...

sainclaire- same here lol, NU admissions is a prominent member of the bank1019 phone contacts list.

wow, so I'm going to go ahead an call myself both a CC addict and loser for posting 3 times in a row... But...

Out of curiousity, what percentage/ number of ED applicants do you think NU will except this year?

I know this site in dangerous and not healthy. I'm up all night on here and looking a NU's website lol. So distracting!!
Yea I hope everything is a small letter, and if ur accepted it'll just be like "check the mail in upcoming weeks for more info". I won't even wanna open a small letter lol. and if i'm still alive after opening my letter i'll for sure let u guys know the results of a small or big letter.
But yea, I know how u feel, reading everyones chances on here, it makes me less confident. i'm guessing they'll accept about like 30-35%.

I read an article on the daily northwestern's website saying there were 1700 applicants this year for ED. which was like a really big increase from last year

Wait actually maybe like 40% I think thats around how many they took last year
