Nursing school with a low GPA?? Is it too late?!

I know there are a lot of these discussions on CC but I am truly, truly worried. Freshman year, unaware of the importance of doing well in high school, I slacked off finishing the year with a 2.5. It wasn’t until the end of the year that I realized what I had done but it was too late. Sophomore year I was able to get my GPA up to a 2.93 (raised 4 points) and was on honor roll for a semester and high honor roll for the other semester (grades match a gpa above a 3.5) I’m now entering my junior year and I know this is my last effort to save myself. I get all A’s and B’s. Will colleges notice an upward trend/be more sympathetic to my GPA?

Intended major: Nursing- highly competitive i know :frowning:
Dream schools: URI, Miami Ohio, UVM, UNH, Fairfield, Hobart & William Smith, Gettysburg (pretty sure they have a joint degree with Hopkins)

I have a lot of EC’s:
-Intend on 4 years of German including 2 exchange trips and German club president
-Volunteer at a very respected hospital
-Job
-2 years of cheerleading
-Intend on 4 years of track
-Counselor to freshman
-Intend on tutoring
-Animal rights club
-Participated in theater shows at my HS
-I also hope to be a volunteer EMT this year

With the information provided, is nursing too far of a reach? Also, are any of these schools at all possible? I come from a very competitive HS in NJ (handful of kids go to ivy’s each year)

Any suggestions on schools that I would have a possibility of getting in? I would prefer New England area or mid atlantic.

Thank you to everyone!!

Also to note, I would prefer direct entry programs but I will take whatever I can get!
