nursing?

Any helpful info. about the nursing program at Quinnipiac (not found on the website) ? Any admission advice?

i would advise tou to apply as soon as you can. because quinnipiac is rolling admissions the spots tend to fill up quickly. visit the school, take a tour, ask lots of questions and if the school is somewhere you see yourself act on it quickly and get that app in right away!!!

at qu, we have a great nursing wing. we have a SIM man which is very expensive and high tech. he reacts to actual medicine and procedures. there is a two-way mirror in the wing where the professor stands behind and talks as if he/she was the patient. you have a hands on experience working with patients. also, the nursing wing has other 'dummies' that specialize in different areas that are used to practice. they have ones for breathing, IV's etc. we also have a maternity/baby area. in your junior or senior year, nursing students do clinicals/rotations where they work in real hospitals in various wings. by your senior year, you choose which specialty you would want to focus on.
