is it an advantage/disadvantage/neither to be applying to stanford from ny?

This is interesting, though I don't know the answer, I too wonder.

I am from Minnesota, how do you think admissions will view this?

Since every university wants the "we have kids from all 50 states and XX countries", it'll give you a slight advantage

Plus, New York is one of the pilot cities for Stanford's alumni interviewing process. A possible interview can give an advantage, especially if all goes well.

i think as long as you're not in ca, you're in a pretty good location.

SUCKS FOR ME :(

But doesn't Stanford admit a lot of California applicants?

ya bcuz the whole state applies lol, ya well my interview actually went exceptionally well, possibly my best out of 6 so maybe i have shot, i just htought there might be a lot of applicants from NY bcuz...idk there are a lot of new yorkers applying to college idk...but ya if its an advantage then awesome
