NYC Community Colleges

It is not likely that a student with a 3.0 and and 1104 is going to be admitted to Baruch regardless of what Princeton review states. I would also take that need based gift aid with a grain of better yet a box of salt unless you are admitted into the honors program, or have a really low EFC where you would be eligible for both the NYS TAP program and Pell/SEOG grants. Other than that you are either writing your check or taking out loans.

I don't know where they are getting those stats from...but yeah I was talking about the honors program. Most of the people there are from New York so it might be a little bit more difficult for those out of state.

<a href="http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/undergrad/documents/BaruchZone2006_002.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/undergrad/documents/BaruchZone2006_002.pdf</a></p>

Well if you look at page 4 of 4, it says that 60% of the class had a high school GPA over 85. And 23% of the class had a high school GPA over 90. And 49% of the class had a combined SAT score over 1100. Then 8% of the class had a combined SAT score over 1300.

I want to go to baruch now. Do you guys think I could get in with a 2.8-2.9 and like 2100-2200 SAT?

Possibly. It's not like Baruch is ivy-league, but it requires decent scores.

I think CUNY's take you as long as you have a pulse.

See the thing is, I didn't take school seriously until junior year. I had very bad grades up until junior year.

hey, same here...
I didn't take it seriously until my junior year (10th - 3.2, 11th - 4.2, 12th - 4.4)

and I got into Stern (w/ horrible aid :D)

so... just try it....

I don't think anyone mentioned this but umm... I live in NYC and if you're coming from out-of-state you should know that CUNY does not guarantee housing. I think Hunter offers housing but you don't get priority just because you're out of state. So you might want to consider colleges in your own state or get an apartment.

I would be getting an apartment.
