I’m an international applicant from Italy, yesterday I received my admission decision from NYU with the early decision II.
I got in College of Arts and Sciences International Relations program.
This post is written for all students who are stressed with their SAT or ACT.
I took the SAT once in December and I got a 1260!! Which is 150 points less than the average SAT at NYU. The most important features of your application for NYU are your grades, I really worked hard during those 4 years in high school, this is what is going to give you a chanche in any college.
If you reach a SAT benchmark for a college( for NYU I believe it has to be at least 1250, for example for columbia or Yale it would be like 1450) then you have a chance ! Of course if you are able to get a 1600, well that’s even better, but believe me, the SAT does not represent a person. Stop reading this stupid forum, you will get just more stress.
Work on your personal statement, work on your GPA and good luck !!
You got in with a 1260? Does that mean I could get into NYU CAS program if I have a 1350 sat and 4.0 unweighted GPA
Probably! I have that same sat score and GPA and I was accepted yesterday with a $45,000 per year scholarship! @celtics2008
