If I don't get into the school that I applied for in NYU (for example Stern), is it still possible to be offered admission for general studies?

I believe general studies is for any of the schools.

No, general studies (now called liberal studies) does not admit students from Stern or Tisch. It’s predominately for students who applied to CAS, although I believe students from Gallatin and Steinhardt can also be put in LSP.

No, LSP can take a very small number of Tischies. Due to the Stern curriculum, they can’t offer LSP to anyone.
