So I'm a senior who got into NYU and BU (I'm still waiting on Tufts). I got into the liberal studies program at NYU and it seems alright, I'm still interested in attending. Today, though, I got into BU. I have my heart set on medicine and am planning on going to med school. I got a bit screwed over by the AP classes that I took in high school and ended up with a gpa that didn't reflect my potential. Thus, I don't want to make the same mistake again. From an academic standpoint, which of these schools are harder to get a high gpa at? Which school has rigorous academics? I know it's a bit shallow, but I would really like to protect my future.

PS I'm assuming that the social scene at NYU and BU are fairly equal, maybe BU parties more because it's such a perfect college town. :]

yeah it is. it’s beast and really prestigious i’m reallly excited because I think that’s where I’m going to go. :] do you anything about the academics?

Tufts has an edge over the others for undergraduate education, but naturally it depends on what you want to study (which you neglected to mention).

NYU and Boston U are both fine schools, and either would go you into medical school. I highly doubt one would have a significant advantage over the other for pre-med.

it really depends on what kind of experience you want. NYU and BU are highly “urban” campuses. Tufts has a smaller feel and is a smaller school. Personally I concur with the NYU crowd on this one.

So nvm about tufts, I got rejected but I’m not devastated. NYU is exciting and fun so is Boston and they’re both about the same fee, right? (50K) I’m pretty much set on going to NYU but still want to know about the academmics. Are the classes really hard? Do professors go easier on students that tried to get help from them? Is it possible to have a 3.8 gpa when graduating? Thanks!!!
