NYU CAS question

Correct me if im wrong. Are some CAS majors easier to get into than others? For instance, is mathematics major easier than lets say poli sci or economics major to get in? because for math, you just need to be good at math… I am not entirely sure about the CAS application process…do you have to declare what you want to study when you apply?

You don’t have to declare a major, you can go in undecided.

It’s super late (too late for apps) but for future reference, no. NYU doesn’t admit you into a specific major–all CAS undergrads are technically undecided. I haven’t heard ANYTHING to confirm that putting specific preferred majors makes it easier or harder to get into NYU. You declare at the end of your sophomore year, and only a few majors (like International Relations) you have to actually apply for, the rest you just…declare.
