any recommendations? </p>
<p>I don't know if I should apply to CAS, tisch, or even Abu Dhabi. Although its not shown in my academics, I am extremely visual arts oriented, with a focus in photography. I also love travel, and learning new languages and cultures. I take Spanish in school (and will continue until fluent) and I am currently teaching myself the basics of sign language and Italian until I can take classes in college. I also definitely plan on studying abroad. Actually, I plan on spending as much time out of the US as possible. :D</p>

<p>I have lived in NY my whole life</p>
<p>I went to a private school in NYC from k-10 grade. i'm finishing hs in a public school because I moved. </p>
<p>HS GPA: 3.6 as of right now. it will be at least a 3.8 by june. my
Junior year gpa is a 3.8. i switched from an extremely challenging/rigorous private school to a public school for junior and senior year. my worst grades are in math and chemistry.</p>
<p>SAT: spring 2012 with three SAT II. Only a 181 on the PSAT (perfect scores on everything, but low on math) </p>
<p>AP: none yet, at least four next year. </p>
<p>SPORTS: competitively figure skating since age three (hope to coach during college), soccer, lacrosse, track, tennis, had ballet since age four to help with my skating. </p>
<p>Music: 8+ years of the cello, decent at piano</p>
<p>jobs: will be a counselor at my old sleep away summer camp</p>
<p>community service: 150+ hours of generally children oriented community sevice i.e. Children's Program at the New York Botanical Gardens, tutor at a girls orphanage in panama (where I also did an exchange/cultural immersion program during the summer) Carnivals for Children with Special Needs, Special Olympics, teachers assistant in local inner city schools. Riverside Language Program (helped tutor adults who spoke Spanish as their first language learn English)</p>
<p>selected to be a part of the Junior Scholars Program at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (the largest/oldest collection of information for people of african descent in the world) where I was a member for six years. Through this program i was able to print two books (photo anthology, im a photographer) that has now been recognized by the library of congress.</p>
