******NYU Class of 2020 RD Discussion******

Now I can access the summer in washington dc application - this is a change. Anyone else?

me too

Does anyone know when NYU will start sending out scholarships?

I can access summer in Washington too

Last year scholarship notifications were released 3/11… so perhaps, that may be the case this year

@gagondalwala Yeah your SAT is slightly below average but it should be made up considering you have a lot of volunteering and leadership positions, as well as an above-average GPA and good workload.
The only thing that may hurt you is your international status because they’re not need-blind to all international students and a lot of international students apply to NYU, possibly making the admissions process more selective for you.

I think you have a great shot as long as your essays are fine and you presented yourself well in your application. Good luck!

I truly think scholarship notifications will be released either tomorrow or early next week. Ah… what I would give for one of those! The only way I could attend NYU is with either generous need based aid or at least one merit scholarship. :frowning:

@adreamer22 ahh thank you so much!!

@omalette Same! I really want to go to NYU too, but I’m really worried about the money because my parents don’t make that much. Hopefully we can both get scholarships and go to NYU!

Are merit scholarships automatic consideration?

@whoosh yeah I think so.

@whooosh Yes, if they accept you, you will automatically consider you for need-based and academic-based financial aid.

Where do you guys find the summer in Washington application? Is it on the housing portal?

@sandsand6 yup

@scholar861 welp I cant access anything new! Is it a good sign if you have it?

@sandsand6 we have no idea haha

@christo617 I think you have you have good chance getting in! Your scores and grades are a bit below the average, but your extracurricular activities, awards, and the amount of AP’s you’ve taken make up for it.

I have nonrenewable undergrad, no DC or the other sessions. I applied to CAS Undecided, no second choice. This is all making me nervous!
