So I figured since I need a computer like NOW, I'd order one from the computer store at NYU since you know they have "special pricing" whatever that means. But it keeps rejecting my NYU ID. What's going on? Are you not allowed to access it online until after you get your enrollment package? I'm confused lol

And if I can't access it until after I get the enrollment package, does anyone know what the computer store's pricing scheme is for the Apple Macbook Pro (both 2.16GHz and 2.33GHz 15inch models with a 160GB Hard Drive and preferrably AppleCare)? Is it cheaper than buying from the standard Apple Store for Education?

What email one? I'm sure I only got the N# one. I'm not sure if the deposit arrived at NYU already, but what I do know is that the AFCOE application that I sent at the same time arrived at NYU.

If someone was able to access the store please let me know how you did it...please?

You followed the directions? "Note: Newly accepted, but not yet registered, students may still utilize these special prices and should only use their 'NYU ID' to access this portion of the website." That's the N-plus-eight-digit code.

Well it keeps rejecting my NYU ID. I don't know what's going on.

And I called NYU Computer Store today and asked and their pricing isn't anything special really. $1799 for a Macbook Pro 2.16GHz...it's basically the same as the Apple Store's pricing.

ya apple gives the computer store academic pricing just like it offers in the store. you can get the same discount at an apple store by showing them a school id.
