@booyakah i agree with you.
But i don’t think the change is random. They must have done something to the whole system, which makes a lot of freshman turned into Non-renewable.
@booyakah is am example: ACT33, APs, ECs. He is much above the CAS level.
I am sure everyone on this thread is somewhat a good student - nyu not the only school - everyone will go somewhere -I took no AP or honors classes and still got into a couple of colleges - things happen for a reason - you go where you are meant to - my dad didn’t get into his dream school and he ended up having the best time at the other school he went to and said looking back he was glad he didn’t get in his dream school - life will not fall apart if we don’t get in - disappointed yes but wont be the last rejection in life - all is great no matter
Me too. 2140 SAT, almost all APs/IBs/Honors course load, great ECs.
Never got a change. Smh.
@Chalamagne916 Pretty sure he did Stern
@myungbi @curiousminds01 guys do you think we are gonna be reconsidered and then decide during this upcoming week? Because even though I have high SAT and ECs but my school grades are bad… And applied to Stern. I’m just worried… Please don’t reject us after admitting us in the first place!!! PLEASEEEE NYU!!!
And i also got the change from freshman to NRUGrad with a 2330(1530) and 3.9+
@alpha525 @dehca2016
My point is: majority of us received the change today?
Not possible at all that rejection for us all.
Thus we can eliminate the possibility that the change today means rejection or some sort of final cutoff.
only concern I have is that the original change was not a glitch and then this change back is a glitch and then we don’t get in but we really were supposed to but they have no idea there is an issue because there are so many applicants - that would be horrible - I am ok not getting in but pissed if I was supposed to and the due to glitch my yes went to no and the school has no idea this happened
@Chalamagne916 I need a LOT of FA
@gettingintostern Okay, first of all let’s take a step back. None of us got accepted yet, so you can’t say that they did admit us. Honestly, there really is no telling who got admitted and who didn’t. We just have to power through the next week and find out ourselves on Monday night, 5PM EST. So until then, don’t stress about it! Hope for the best and expect the worst. May the odds be ever in our favor~
I thought the change had to do with FA but there were people that got the change back that didn’t apply for FA
Maybe its up to regional counselors to change the housing? Or something they do?
I think when this is all over we will be able to piece it together - very curious -
Best remedy, wait until Feb 15th and distract yourself with a book or something or else: enter DJ Khaled voice, “you played yourself”
my heart sank when i saw the change back :((
Multiple hearts from this thread match your heart’s current bpm. You’re not alone in this fight. @curryyyy
I’m pretty sure the housing change from freshman to nonrenewable undergraduate doesn’t mean anything…it was probably just a server change or they fixed the bug (like what people above said). I’m an RD applicant and my housing today switched from freshman to nonrenewable undergraduate.
Being completely honest here, there should be 0 indicators of acceptance whatsoever. It’s unfair to applicants for some to have “freshman” and be considered “in” while others have “NRUGrad” and be considered in limbo. I always wonder where the tuition money goes if not fixing bugs like this. It’s a complete misuse of funds.
@seablue That’s actually huge. That seems like a big indicator that a bug was fixed if RD got it changed as well.
