NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

1000th comment…

YAY

about 51 hours and our fates are decided…even less if we are rejected…i want to cry a little bit

I’m just happy I got a decent backup university! One that’ll be hella fun… But NYU is my dream #sigh

what time exactly do they send out rejections and acceptances? All at once or randomly

ED1 saw rejection early, like 1am/3am EST, while acceptances came like 3 pm onward EST I believe

Still no FA change and no change to LSP either. Nervous, but I don’t believe in this FA change…hopefully the odds are in my favor :)

Post on the disclosure thread guys!

Out of curiosity, a good 4-5 weeks ago I submitted my Noncustodial Form for financial aid. Up until about 2 weeks ago, if I were to go to Albert>Login>View My Do List, it would show that NYU did not process the form, and I still had to do it.

Two weeks ago, however, it was processed. I would imagine the FA department only processes the applications that have been accepted into NYU. So, do you think that might mean they began to figure out my FA award (i.e. I got accepted)? Or do you think it means absolutely nothing?

This is just pure curiosity, honestly.

PS: No FA change to report here. I applied to Tisch, and they began looking at my application (it was processed) a few days before the “To Do List” change.

@ckravitz1223 That would certainly be a good sign if it also came with the FA change, but who knows?

@cravitz1223 I think it depends on what NYU’s definition of “processed” means. It could mean that the school has received it, not that they had actually taken a look and processed it as a part of your acceptance. If there is a seperate check-list box for receiving it, then this is good news! If not, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. All the best of luck!!

@lyndak True. Here is what the page says:

“Items in a Requested status need to be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid in a timely manner. Items in a Received status have been received by the Office of Financial Aid and are pending review.”

So, it was considered “Requested” for 3-4 weeks after I sent it in. Then, finally, it must have been processed through because my To Do List page is now blank.

It’ll be interesting if I get in; maybe others who had to send in a Noncustodial Form can speak up on Friday as well to see if there is any correlation.

shiet… this is getting real now haha… tomorrow is the big day :stuck_out_tongue:

Is it bad that if i go to my to do list, it says
“No current to do item information found” ?

@sphink95 Isn’t Friday the big day, not tomorrow haha?

@manisha926 I don’t think so, that’s what mine says too.

@outonalimb… I’m in the UK- it’s already Thursday here haha

@sphink95 @outonalimb Wait, what the actual ■■■■. (That bleeped out right? If not, excuse my language.) BUT SPHINK YOU LITERALLY GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK BY SAYING TOMORRW’S THE BIG DAY. LOL. It’s Friday right everyone? Unless I missed some huge message and Shawn announced something via social media that I am currently not aware of.

hahahaa apologies for that. Friday is indeed when we find out. Just seeing 13/02/2014 on my pc made me realise it’s getting close, that’s all :stuck_out_tongue:

@sphinx95 oh Hahahah nice, at least you don’t have to stay up early dawn, being nervous about possible rejections!

@lyndak I wish it was sooner… can’t take it any longer

But yeah it’s still Friday
