seriously! I have my hardest exams the day of the decision and the day after… I don’t know how I’m going to be able to function either way, especially if I don’t get in! I’ll be too upset to study :(

well just got deferred from UMich come on Stern, please come through for me…

@anoeltner i have a physics and spanish exam! and then another one on wednesday…

I know everyone is saying that changes to Albert are inconclusive but my financial aid and major STILL haven’t changed from the day I got my account. My stats are around the 25th decile for NYU. I applied to CAS but would be ecstatic to be LSPed, too. But would you guys say it is pretty much over for me?

Also best of luck to everyone that has to get through these last few days. This is killing me.

My account didn’t change either. Thinking it logically, I cannot be positive about this. However, it seems that there are more changed accounts than unchanged accounts under this forum. How is that possible that the accepted people will more than rejected people so I still try to keep positive attitude.
Good luck everyone!

mine didn’t change either… i’m just gonna assume it didn’t mean anything because UMich uses the same system as NYU and my financial aid showed up there but i was deferred

So I have a theory. It’s probably wrong, but whatever. I’m neurotic and I want to think about these things. I think that admissions decisions might have an accept/decline button tomorrow, and the hints will be much more explicit since this was originally the day they were supposed to release decisions. I also think that maybe rejections will be sent tomorrow and acceptances will be on Tuesday. It’s probably completely false, but I’m just throwing it out there.

I’m applying ED to Stern and completely freaking out. UChicago comes out on the same day and I applied EA there. I don’t wanna be rejected by both schools at once!

My GPA is quite low so I’m kind of scared. Plus, there is one C on my transcript. Anyone know if they accept people with C’s? It’s also a C in Math…when I’m applying to Stern.

I want SO BADLY to get in. I’m really hoping.

D: i have an art exam on that day haha i have to create an artwork in 4 hours… and my theme is torture and suspense… so yeah… the anxiety would definitely help me on my art exam hahahaha

@infiniteloop I have a c on my transcript as well. A c in honors chem sophomore year. I don’t think it’ll ruin us, so long as your GPA is still high

@correkid @infiniteloop i have a C too… correkid, mine’s also honors chem sophomore year i hate science :(( hope we’re okay!

Is anyone here a Global Liberal Studies applicant with me?

What’s the difference between Global Liberal Studies and LSP?

Liberal Studies is a 2-year core program, where a student spends their final 2 years at one of NYU’s alternative undergraduate schools. Global Liberal Studies is a 4 bachelors degree program that has a focus on international cultures.

I have a really negative thought. If your FA changed, it won’t even guarantee that you’ll be accepted; however, if your page didn’t change, ummmm, you know…
@littlemeow do you know anyone who applied UM and FA page didn’t change but was accepted?

I called NYU today and asked if we’re for sure finding out on the 18th, or if we might find out Saturday, Sunday, etc. (basically earlier), and the man on the phone made it very clear that we will not find out till the 18th. That being said, he said we could find out at anytime during the 18th, not necessarily at 5pm (but definitely by 5 pm… so at 5pm, or before basically).

I highly doubt we’ll find out earlier anyway, because NYU is currently interviewing candidates for scholarships, which could take a few days (like up until the 18th).

@leilala I only know people whose did change, and they were accepted and deferred, the FA wasn’t indicative of anything

nothing left to do today but speculate the various possibilities. this is just my opinion as i clearly have no access to any definitive information!!

your school/program unchanged AND you have a FA screen showing 2014 = accepted

your school/program unchanged AND you have a FA screen showing “no info available” = rejected

your school/program changed AND you have a FA screen showing 2014 = rejected from original school but accepted to an another NYU school/program

your school program changed AND you have a FA screen showing “no info available” = considered for another NYU school/program but rejected

thoughts? any other scenarios out there not listed above?

I hope number 3 is correct!!
