@yellowplane OMG me too. My moms a single parent, and works for the department of education. The current university I’m staying at is giving me 21k in scholarship a semester. whereas NYU wants me to take out 23k a semester. What a joke, I knew NYU gave limited aid but I had no idea it would be this drastic. I don’t understand, and I called the financial aid officer for more information, perhaps an error was made because I can’t fathom how they think I would be able to afford tuition.
Please don’t go on like this. Be aware of international students who receive no aid whatsoever and may not necessarily be in a better financial standing. Show some respect, please.

@whynoclasstoday YOU can stop being annoying. I understand you’re frustrated from not hearing back from NYU and that you want to go. In fact, I think its safe to say we all want to go to NYU since we applied, the few of us who were accepted and received terrible financial aid packages are equally frustrated because we can’t afford it. I don’t mean to come across as rude, but it seems like all the hard work of going through the transfer application process was for nothing because of the shitty aid we received. So sorry for venting my frustrations out in ONE post without being criticized.
You’re annoying to other people here telling people to decline admission. It’s has nothing to do with you and what makes you think you will get admission in their place. Considering you haven’t received anything yet shows you really aren’t a remarkable applicant.

I go to nyu now. I’m a Tisch film production student. Stop assuming everything.

I’m not an applicant because I attend nyu now. I am only pointing out what is fair. And you know what’s fair.

I know people who transfer and I know how they feel at this point. I gain no interest in doing this. I ask people who are sure they won’t go to give up admissions because i think that’s fair. I ask people who are accepted and complain to stop because there are people still waiting. Guys, I’m not att king you. I’m asking you to think and feel for other people.
Has anybody heard back from Tisch? Haven’t seen any film/Television acceptances or rejections yet.

I applied to CAS a few weeks before the application was due and still haven’t heard anything… I’m a little nervous.
@hf1234 I wasn’t joking? Idk why you would think that. But yeah I received my package too and it’s also terrible when my family needs a lot of aid

I would never understand the admission process. A person on this thread applied later than me got his decison. We applied the same school and we are both internatioanl students. I expect that particular group of applicants in particular school should be reviewed at the same time but the whole admission process is so random. I would never know when can I hear back from NYU. I’m feeling so stressful…
All those complaining about the fin aid package, I got 71K. Probably you were not just good enough. Stop complaining, and get on with your lives. Love y’all
