@annadragon CONGRATS!! yay at least someone from tisch has heard something back I was nervous that all decisions for tisch would come out today but I checked and still no decisions but that is because I applied later than you. Glad to see you get accepted
@justsomename thank you so much!! good luck to you ((:
tisch students normally hear back the first week of may. Congrats @annadragon !!!
@acceptmepls123 thank you!!!
@annadragon i’m so glad you got in!!! huge congrats <3
Hi, I’m currently awaiting a decision from TISCH film, but I was just wondering if the summer film course was required? I’m at a film school currently and have done intro film courses here, at another college previously during summer, and during high school as well. I’m also kinda tight financially so it’d be pretty tough if it was
Does anyone know when we have to accept/decline our admissions offer by???
@annadragon major congrats to you!! I had a feeling you were going to get in
Also, what do you mean by “legacy?” Like you have someone in your extended family that went to NYU?
Congrats to those who got in! I’m just joining this discussion but I’ve been reading it everyday! I’m currently a sophomore at Mercy College with a 3.6 college gpa. I applied on May 3rd and have no changes on my Albert Yet. Applied to CAS
EC’s: Have a bunch including President and co-founder of my Schools history club
Also organized my schools undergraduate history conference
Recommendation: two from my professors of my core classes of which I got an A in both
HS gpa: awful! Experienced a death and was depressed. But still managed a 3.0 and took AP history
Currently have 73 credits
Think I have a shot? No changes to Albert yet!
I’m really nervous because on my Albert, I do not have a FA change, but I do have two options for the housing portal, which probably doesn’t mean much… I wish I had a sign like anna did with the orgsync or transfer credit. Ahhh, I’m getting too nervous
@cjeong98 2 of my step siblings graduated from NYU! also i’ve seen many people get in with ZERO changes to albert so don’t give up hope honestly
@annadragon Even though i’m still nervously waiting for a decision I still feel so happy for you! Congrats! You seemed like a strong candidate to begin with and this must feel so sweet
@terr24lr Did you apply to Stern because I remember from a previous post you were worrying about putting CAS as your alternative choice and the possibility that NYU won’t put you in CAS if you get rejected from Stern. I emailed the Admissions office like a week ago, asking how many external transfer applicants got in Stern and she didn’t give me the exact number, but she said less than 1%! I’m kind of freaking out. I already knew Stern was highly competitive, but I didn’t know it would be that extreme… Either way, I’m still very much interested in CAS, but I didn’t even mention it in my essay, which is killing me!
I just called a minute ago because people getting accepted made me nervous. The admission counselor said that decisions could come out as late as mid-May. She said it is completely random.
@Jmercy199 that sucks… I don’t want to wait any longer
@cjeong98 I know. I think I be a great NYU student so I hope they make the right choice.
@annadragon How is your FA package?
@Jmercy199 i didn’t apply for FA
@annadragon So, I know most people have been getting their acceptances straight off of Albert, rather than email. How did you find out? Did you get the email first or did you just click on the purple button that led to the decision notice?
@cjeong98 i haven’t gotten an email yet there was a purple decision button in my “application status” folder and i clicked that. it led me to another page and i was then able to click on my decision letter
