Hey I’ve posted on here like once before under a different account (I forgot the password/username so here I am on a new one) and figured I’d post now. I’ve also been reading the posts on here for months but never posting cuz I’m lame.
ANYWAY I got accepted Tuesday into CAS for Comparative Literature which was SUPER exciting for me since I’ve always wanted to go to NYU.
Before being accepted, (since everyone talks about this) I had the FA change the night before from just having 2017 to also having 2018. My housing portal also changed, not the label of non-renewable undergrad, but the display format on the screen and the information they had listed about me on there. It went from just my name and e-mail and stuff to name, age, gender, contact, and all that jazz.
HOWEVER, I’m probably not going to be attending as they only offered me over $60,000 in loans and my family just can’t pay that and I can’t go over $180,000 in debt. I contacted the financial aid office to see if there was any way to get more money as well, where they told me that they “don’t have any more financial resources” in order to increase my funding which I find highly unlikely but fine, whatever.
I will still be attending a school in New York, just one that gave me A LOT more money! So if any of y’all go to NYU, maybe I’ll see you around since, as of right now, I’m most likely attending The New School, which is really close to NYU’s campus!
It sucks how you can get accepted to a school, but literally cannot even consider it because of money. Oh well, I knew NYU was expensive going in. Good luck to everyone still waiting and congrats to everyone who has already gotten in!
@cjeong98 yes !! I put CAS as my second option but I heard that if youre rejected from Stern the wont even consider you for your second option. Im also waiting to hear from Boston University ! What about you?
@nyutransfer123 Do you know the reason for that? I just don’t get why they would do that because stern is already so hard to get into so why wouldnt they show some empathy in considering me. I would study economics if i were to get in cas. I’m freaking out now lol. NYU is the only school i applied to as a tranfer.
anyone still waiting to hear back from Tisch with no changes on albert?
@cjeong98 Same here!! I would not mind at all having econ as my major. I dont know the reason for that, Ive just heard it from many people 
All of us NYC transfers can all hang out when we have no friends on the weekends lol

@nyutransfer123 decisions always come out at the beginning of each week. Never after Wednesday (even Wednesday is rare)judging by past threads
@jmercy199 the first wave of decisions came out on april 7th which was a friday!

Hey! I’m new here but I too am waiting for a Tisch drama decision, @acceptmepls123 I applied very very late (April 1) and I haven’t had any changes in Albert.

anyone else apply for psychology?! I keep checking my Albert. I heard from the head of admissions a couple weeks ago asking for my midterm grades, college transfer report, and reason for my education gap from 2013-2016( I took a few years off due to financial difficulties). I thought that hearing from her was a good sign, but now I am anxiously waiting a decision!
@veelynne I think they’re not required if you have a certain amount of credits (the same happened to me but I submitted two subject test scores so idk)
I haven’t been accepted yet and I applied in the middle of February. I also see no changes to my financial aid and my housing portal states Summer 2017. I’m from California and I attend a CC so I’ve already been accepted to UCLA, UCSD, and UCI but I applied to various privates and wanted to weigh my options. Its just a lot of waiting.
@igotsunshine111 oh yeah I know that you dont have to send them with however many credits, thats why i didnt i just thought it was funny that they checked it off anyways on my albert
If they come out Friday, what time do you think the release time would be?
