For TISCH, if accepted into the Film program as a Transfer, is the summer program required? Would there be any way to waive it if so? I’m fine with doing it, it’s just financially kinda hard plus I’ve had many film courses prior as I go to a film school at the moment.

@cjeong98 That’s what I figured as well. Although some people just have summer 2017.
@notnonchalant I see an option to may “NYU housing payments” under the students tab. Is that the housing change you are referring to?
@NYUhopeful_1198 did you always have the NYU email? For me it went from being blank to having it. Then again I don’t think of it as a big indicator, if I had the FA change that’d be a good indicator I think, although they say some people never get it and still get accepted.
@mpm1201 No, I am pretty sure I didn’t always have all my information there. I applied march 29th, and I think this might have changed a few weeks ago. I don’t really think this indicates anything though.
Dont think any decisions are coming out today, seems like next week will be the one

Based on the transfer thread last year, NYU email means nothing. Someone said if you have tried to fill out the first several steps of the housing application or clicked around that, a “student” tab would automatically popped up on your albert. They also mentioned that some of those people who had the access to the orgsync link got rejected and those who didn’t got in …Brahhh… who knows…

Thanks! And yes! I was anxiously refreshing the Albert application page for like every five minutes lol and suddenly I saw a button that tells me to view my admission decision

My High school transcript was checked off until this Wensday haha. I didn’t see changes to my financial aid but my housing portal had both Summer 2017 and 2017-2018. I also had the student and applicant tabs. Best Wishes!!!
okk guys guys guys kinda urgent. So i submitted the NYU application in like feb, and I didnt receive an email regarding an update to my applicaiton. Today, I just decided to check albert and it turned out that i got accepted (woohoo). However, it said effective date “04/28/2017”. For those of you that got accepted, is effective date the date the decision was recieved orr the date that the deposit is due???

does anyone know what class/classes film transfers are required to take over the summer? also are we supposed to do a 6 week session?
