@cestsibon @annadragon do you guys know what effective date on the portal meant?? Is it when the decision came out or when the deposit is due? Effective date is written when you click application status right before the decision Letter pops up

So I got the students and applicants tab and the housing option popped up today. Are these separate changes? I messed with the housing application and that’s why I think the housing thing popped up. My FA has years 2015 and 2016. I can log into orgsync and bursar but there’s nothing on bursar
@icypudding I think thats a good sign!! some people that experienced this changes on Saturday last week got their decisions on tuesday

@nyutransfer123 @TransferKid97 I applied to Stern as well, and have no changes on my Albert. I wish I saw some kind of change because decisions are most likely coming out sometime this upcoming week, and some sort of sign would be nice 
Also, I want your guys’ opinion on something. I applied to Stern as my main choice, but I also put down CAS as my second choice, and some people have been saying that Stern usually does not consider you for your second choice. I really hope that this is not a fact, because that would crush all my hopes of attending NYU.
Once we pay our enrollment deposit, how do we apply for housing? I know it’s not guaranteed for transfers but does anyone have ideas about the best places to live?
I don’t think seeing a students tab pop up with the housing payment option is a sign. I messed with the housing app and it popped up the day after, so I think thats why. If you touch the housing app or “complete” it you will see a students tab pop up.
I believe only the FA change is a sure sign of a decision coming, thats what happened to me the day before I got my acceptance.
But some ppl didn’t get any changes and still got their decision.

Is there any bad effect to my application if I message admissions to changing alternate schools in the application process right now?
If u mentioned ur interest in CAS within ur essay or any other part of the application yea u would be considered but if u did not then unfortunately U should hope to make stern because CAS there is no chance.
My primary school is CAS, but I somehow put stern and tisch to alternate school, so I want change tisch to gallatin.
Has anyone applied to tandon and heard anything back? I applied on February 15 and still haven’t heard anything.
@TransferKid97 well, I didn’t mention CAS explicitly in my essay, but I did have extracurriculars that had to do with a specific major in CAS, which is economics. I don’t know if that counts though… Man, I wish I had made it more clear through my essay, but I didn’t know this before I sent it my application. I want to cry
