@sl2018 I applied for the New York campus! I have a 3.93 gpa with a bunch of ECs, fingers crossed.
My Albert landing page started getting glitchy and I’m sweatin’
It does not seem good
I also get a 403 error when I go to nyu.edu. For those that don’t know, a 403 error is a client-side error that means you’re forbidden from viewing the page/you don’t have permission to access it. Basically, nothing is going wrong on their end, I just can no longer view their website unless I’m logged out of Albert.
The content and links under the “Undergraduate Applicants” section of Albert have also disappeared and been replaced with
"
Undergraduate Applicants
Error executing pagelet.
Detailed error description:
An error has occurred while trying to perform the XSL transformation. This is because either (1) the DataSource did not return valid XML or (2) the XSL for transformation is invalid."
(I’m thinking something here got deleted, since the url/query string also looks psycho now lol, too many folder paths and whatnot)
The dramatic irony of this all is that I applied to CAS for Computer Science.
My stats:
- 3.77 gpa in community college (4.0 in all math/programming classes though)
- 62 credits
- took 13 APs in high school
- work a full time and part time job while in school
- jobs are mildly data-related
- female
- South American heritage (my last name ends in a vowel)
- I am very passionate about efficient algorithms and I’m sure it came across in my essays

@inmyCASket Calm down. If you got rejected, you’ll still be able to access everything and well… see your rejection. Probably just a glitch.
if there are no changes to the housing, does that automatically mean we are rejected?

I’m actually somewhat calm, I feel strangely at peace with the death of my hope and will greet the grim reaper of my dreams like an old friend.
In all seriousness, none of my application documents have been marked as complete even though called a few days ago and they confirmed they had everything, so I’m just a ball of nervous energy right now in general. I also have to start training someone for my job as soon as I find out what’s going down with NYU (I currently manage 60 people), since I’m out of state and my boss doesn’t know about any of this yet.
I’m sure a lot of 20-year-olds are stressing right now but holy sh I feel like I’m alone in a horrifically unique anxiety swamp of the life I created for myself.
I also love being dramatic so you can take this all with a grain of salt

Can someone tell me what you see when you click housing? Does it take you to office of the bursar & student ID?
GPA- 3.95- Only B was in Speech(lol!!)
Military: 4 years of active duty service working as a high voltage electrical. Air Force Achievement Medal among other awards and accolades.
EC- Lots of volunteering but nothing to major. Helped rebuild a school when I was stationed in Guam after a Typhoon. Ran a few volunteer programs on base.
I was accepted last year but couldn’t enroll because of military service.

@miuthecat go to housing by logging into nyu home, not Albert, then see if you have access to the academic year 2018-2019 housing application

I received my decision exactly a month after I submitted my app on 3/26 if that helps anyone out.

Business & Tech Mgmt, but I might switch to CS w/ Finance Minor and try to transfer to Stern after a year
