<p>I know we all had to sign up for housing already, but does anyone know when we choose our meal plan? And parents, how much food expenses (approx.) for a Tisch student, with declining dollars/extra money/meal plan? My parents are calculating various costs, and need an estimate to finish their negotiations (divorce).</p>

<p>I don't know the answer, but I have seen a lot of discussion on this topic on the regular NYU thread. You might want to check there.</p>
<p>I think we automatically are signed up for one of the meal plans then we can change it after a certain date only if we are in apt style housing. Otherwise, i think all freshman first semester have to have the same meal plan.</p>
