Just adding my two cents here. Last time they sent out the rejections really early, so I wouldn’t be too psyched if I get an email around 9 am EST because that’s when they’ll start rolling them out.

i think everything will come early. God, I’m so nervous. I’m driving myself crazy. I really really hope NYU can look over a mediocre gpa

Is the email going to have our decision or are we going to have to log onto another site to find our

That rejection mail early is all BS. It only happens RD last year. Don’t be scared if it comes early that should hint at nothing.

@gaborik, what tells you that?

Also does anyone know how the email is gonna look like? I don’t want an email that has the first word congratulations or unfortunately…though i would prefer the former. But anyways will they have like a short statement before a sentence stating our decision? I feel like email previews can reveal our decisions. I want that feeling of opening the email and slowly reading it ;)

I think the subject is just ‘Your NYU Decision’ or something. I’m really too scared to open this email, if I see the stats people applied with I don’t think I’m gonna get in. I wish all of you guys best of luck! Waiting sucks

@suspense Hey have some hope! Everyone is view holistically and I’m pretty sure you possess a quality that no one else has!

I’ll just hope they’ll surprise me with an acceptance! We’ll see Friday :/

@tnals688 Yeah, I’m assuming so. Admissions said “pre-dawn” hours, so I’m thinking before 6am. But remember that they only start sending out the emails then, so you could receive yours during the day of the 13th or even sometime during the weekend.

@rocky what tells you it does mean that? One year? One round of decisions? Ten people who said early email means rejection?

@gaborik, yeah fair enough. I do hope the applications are truly holistic I feel like a lot of schools say that without meaning it.

@a1askayoung I’m a Canadian applicant.

@silentgravity, On the NYU admissions blog, they guarantee that all decisions will be sent out by the end of the day on the 13th.

Realistically, how long do you guys think it will take for them to get all the emails out? Since they’re starting in the pre-dawn hours, do you think that they’ll have all or most of them out by the morning?

@rocky i also have mediocre grades applying for stern. hopefully theyll like me and view me holistically

I think the college essay and overall personality of each student shown in their essays is important as well. However, this could also just be a lie, noone can really prove that anyways

I feel like most of them will definitely be out by the morning, I mean come on, it’s just a click of a button and most should be sent out. But you never know.

Anyway, it looks like I’m either headed towards LSP or rejection since my status changed, and if so it’s going to be hard to decide between that or my acceptance to Tulane. I know I can decline NYU’s financial statement and not attend, but I really need to like at the pros/cons of each school.

Hopefully I am accepted though–it’s always been my dream school! Good luck to everyone :)

I’m confused about the financial aid status changing. Mine shows as

2015 - New York University - No self-service access for this aid year.

Has mine been changed?

I GOT MY DECISION EMAIL!!! I WAS ACCEPTED WITH A FULL SCHOLARSHIP!!!

Then I woke up

@dorkfornewyork Mannnnn you scarreddd mee lolol. Let’s hope that happens to all of us on Friday!
