oppppps wrong forum

@byahnoob Sorry, I know how it feels. I just got rejected from a school with very similar stats as NYU (Boston College) and I am devistated. I still didn’t get the change yet though. Don’t worry, you’ll go to a school that’s ment to be.

@J03421
this is not good, rejected from BU, GWU, Northwestern, and CMU.
status has yet to change for NYU as well… --.–

Have any HEOP students noticed a change on their financial aid page?

just got accepted to fordham but this wait is killing me

@nyc2017 I was being considered for HEOP and my status has yet to change but I think it just has to do with the fact that the last time I checked they were still collecting peoples financial documents to verify eligibility so they may take up until April 1st, or even later like they did last year.

@byahnoob I was rejected from Northwestern too!!! Twins! I wasted like 5 hours of my life waiting for my rejection email…

I know the notification date is April 1, but historically, NYU sends decisions 3 days earlier, which is March 29. So check your e-mails on March 29 at 5 PM to see if you’ve officially been accepted.

Also, no change in status does not only mean rejection. It means rejected, wait-listed or deferred (well not deferred for us since we are RD). So don’t loose all hope.

Not sure if this has been previously addressed ( sorry in advance for any redundance :] ). Has anyone heard of any instances where an applicant had the FA status change but was rejected/waitlisted/deferred?

I’ve heard of one except I don’t think the person was telling the truth or didn’t know what they were talking about because they said their year was ‘2012-2013’ or something that no one else had… But still, I don’t want to get my hopes up!

Do you guys know if decisions for heop go out the same day?

Has anyone ever gotten in without the FA change?

Sorry to break the news, but coming from an ED II applicant, if your FA didn’t change, then you are likely rejected. There is conclusive evidence.

There is no conclusive evidence. Only a small percentage of accepted students are on CC.

Is something mailed to us as well with the admissions decision or is it all online?

@joowon people who are accepted tend to post on cc. its unlikely people who got rejected would post…so no, there is no conclusive evidence.

@corrinder94: but according to the cc posters (see the link below), at least no one whoes finacial status was NOT changed was accepted. Anyway, within only a couple days we all will know the results. Just be patient.

My FA status just changed to “Award access not available” but it doesn’t ave the 2014 or the table. What could this mean?

sooo… if my financial aid status says, “Award access not available.” it’s a good thing?

Mine changed to “Award access not available” BUT NOT “2014 award access not available”… Are they the same thing? Or did everyone’s FA status changed like mine?
