So I've heard a lot about the business/film/etc programs at NYU. How are the science programs at NYU? ( specifically biology)

the science programs are pretty good, but NYU is a very artsy school, the percentage of science students is much smaller than those interested in liberal arts/studio arts. the following science programs are in CAS: biology, biochem, neuroscience, chemistry, physics, and comp science. I’m double majoring in two sciences and I think the chemistry department is overall the strongest in terms of undergrad education - the best science profs I had were in the chem dept. As a bio major, you will be taking 2 semesters of gen chem and 2 semesters of organic chem. the introductory course in the bio dept (principles of bio I and II) is not that great, but it gets better from there. opportunities for undergrad research are also available after freshmen year.
