NYU Spring '10 Transfers!

East89-

That would have been a good one! Kind of similar to what I said, which was a Ninja Turtle haheheehhe. I find it funny how people take that question seriously.

Im still flabbergasted at the minute amount of people on here that are applying to NYU for spring…

LOL. Ninja Turtles. I really never would have thought to use that as a short answer topic.

For the most part, spring admission pools are generally a lot smaller than those for fall, so I’m not really surprised. At least there’s less competition this way.

HI! my acceptance letter from nyu came to my house a few days ago, but i just heard about it today because i’m studying abroad. I called admissions a week ago and they said that the letters would come out in 3 weeks, but since i just got mine, hopefully everyone can expect their letters soon! btw i applied to gallatin with a 3.4, so you all shouldn’t worry too much haha

Exhibites-
Congratulations on the acceptance! Out of curiosity, when did you submit your application?

thanks! i turned in my application only a few hours before the deadline on oct 31st

Just called and asked if a decisions had been made on my app and it’s still on “hold.” The admissions councilor told me that all Spring 2010 decisions should be made by the end of the week.

Agh!! This is …bleh!
I wish they would just tell us already!! I assume we should find out by 12/14, which is when spring transfers found out last year. I just wanna know so I can stop stressing other damn applications!!! It’s freaking annoying!

FINALY DECEMBER first is HERE!! We should hear back within two weeks from today!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYOnE!!!

Called NYU today. Was told they couldn’t give me an answer if a decision had been made or not…I’m hoping I get in so badly. Applied to CAS for economics

Yea it seems that calling or inquiring at all doesn’t do much good until about mid December.

Pretty rough…this is super nerve wracking…What are your stats (gpa, # of credits you have) chowder/what program are you applying into?

what is the facebook group, what would I be searching?

City-

yea it kinda sucks, but there’s nothing we can do about it :(

Stats: 3.88 GPA 34 Units when applied, 54 after this semester. From a JC
( not a 4.0 because of a class taken in highschool)
highschool GPA 2.2( very ugly)
SAT: 2270 ( didn’t submit at first but decided it might help)
EC’s: Pretty limited-hospital volunteer
Part time fashion model
and I’m a URM( which shouldn’t matter but it does)
applied to STEIDHARDT : NUTRITION

Has anyone tried the NYU login method to see if you got in? does it work?

I saw people talking about that…What is it though? Where do you log in slash what do you put in? And van chowder your stats look GREAT. I don’t know anything about the competitiveness of your major but seems like you’re a pretty solid candidate.

I’ve been trying but nothing so far: https://start1.nyu.edu/ibin/getnetid1.cgi

former applicants (esp transfer), what kind of envelope is the acceptance/denial mailed in?

Its tough waiting…I figure starting monday, we should start getting acceptances/rejections.
If I do not get one by friday, I am going to call them and see whats up. Seems like thats what some people had to do last year. ( read the spring 09 thread ).

I guess if some of us don’t get in, its some great spirit trying to tell us we don’t need the extra 50k of debt lol.
There is a plus to everything!

Does anyone else hate Sundays, because the mail doesn’t come?

BMW- Apparently acceptance is Big purple packet looking thing, and rejection is a normal letter sized envelope.

god this waiting is abolutely killing me… iv been literally standing by my mailbox waiting every single day. what u guys think my chances are?

NASSAU CC GPA: 3.9 CREDIT HRS: 25
HIGH SCHOOL GPA: 2.9
did some tutoring in the summer not much ec’s

NYCstyle- I’m rooting for you, but I think if you have<30 college credits, your highschool GPA is counted significantly more than otherwise.
