I’m excited to receive my rejection notice with a 3.8
you’re not gonna get rejected with a 3.8 believe me and if you do I’ll join you bc I have a 3.6 or 3.7 depending if they used my mid-year info @mastermorality2
im barely 3.5 from a SUNY school. probably rejected. psyched.
Mine was similar and also SUNY dont loose hope!!!
I don’t think I’m getting a decision today if I’m honest…
@tatidee123 we might be waiting for a while :-S
anyone got at 5pm?
@tatidee123 might not be a bad sign… means they’re still deliberating or haven’t gotten to us yet. Either way not a rejection!
me either @mattlm0831
@luuke1029 when did you apply?
If I don’t get in, I will be shocked and wouldn’t be able to find the words to explain it. I have a 3.93 while being a president of 2 clubs, honors, presidents list, and the list goes on and on… I’ve worked so hard to attend a huge school like this and it would be absolutely devastating to not get accepted. They didn’t ask me for any Midterm report, and people that applied after me are already getting changes in their portal/decisions… This is concerning honestly.
@tatidee123 @riflerecon @mattlm0831 @washingtonsqpark According to my mother, a (former student literally just a few years ago) she and two of her friends applied to NYU Silver at the same time. My mom had a 3.99 gpa and her friends had somewhere between a 3.5-3.7. She found out she was accepted a few weeks after applying and did not receive an email but rather found out via Albert. However, it took A MONTH AFTER her acceptance for her friends to also get accepted FOR THE SAME SCHOOL. Basically NYU is a little all over the place with their decision making so don’t worry if you haven’t received a response as of yet.
@riflerecon @mattlm0831 @tatidee123 @Leadelaney @EconDon23 It’s okay if we haven’t gotten our decisions yet, that just means we’ll have more time to spend together on this beautiful thread! RIGHT?
Any CUNYers in here?
@EconDon23 Please don’t worry pal, I’m sure you’re fine!
This is excruciating! I just wanted to know so bad but at the same time I am so scared to receive rejection:(
I am not surprised at all. NYU’s admission is notorious.
I have to very careful with my posts as I am in “college confidential lockup” for a previous post. What irks me the most is the lack of transparency on the admissions side. It would relieve much anxiety (for all of us) if so many different admission dates were not being tossed around. “you will hear by 5pm Friday” “admissions are rolling” “nobody has heard back today” “I got in today” Also, does anyone know if the rejections tend to be released early on in admissions cycle, toward the end, or evenly spaced between nov 1 and dec 15
Oh I should mention that I currently attend a cuny and so did my mother as well as her two friends.
