NYU Transfer Fall 2019

so uh any chance they will be releasing more today?

@transfer2000002 A couple, based off of last year, it was just a few. It’s not going to be massive wave like yesterday. I’ll just repost my past post about the decision dates to catch up a few people who just joined. (These are the decision dates from last year)

04/05/18 – CAS/Gallatin/Steinhardt (not MCC) acceptances
04/15 – 04/17/18 – CAS acceptances
04/20 – 04/24/18 – CAS rejections (mostly econ)
04/25/18 – CAS/Tandon acceptances
05/02/18 – Tisch/Gallatin acceptances and rejections
05/03/18 – Steinhardt acceptances (MCC)
05/08/18 – Tandon acceptances/ Gallatin rejections
05/15/18 – CAS (plus rejections) /Gallatin (plus rejections) /Steinhardt/Tisch acceptances
05/22/18 – Tandon acceptances/ Steinhardt (MCC) acceptances and rejections/ Stern rejections (all rejections)/CAS acceptances and rejections
05/24/18 – Stern acceptances
06/01/18 – 1 stern acceptance
06/12/18 – 1 stern acceptance

These should be the next releases dates, and it seems like its fairly accurate as you can see Tandon did release acceptances yesterday, plus a few other schools.

@jw8001 thanks a lot!

I’ve been accepted to MCC as of yesterday. my first choice was ny then I had Paris as a second option and got in to Paris for the first semester!!

Do everyone get the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) on their financial aid?

i have that as well, but idk when that would have appeared because i never checked my financial aid status before

Hey everyone! I got my decision yesterday and I was accepted to NYU Tandon. I wanted to upload my stats to help future people get some hope bc I really didn’t think I was going to get in.

My application was submitted on 4/1

College: I go to the top CUNY for business. My current major is Business Operations Management. My GPA is 3.74

HS: I went to the #1 public hs in NYC and my GPA was 3.3 (Ik it’s very low bc I had a tough time transitioning to an intense environment and I gave up on myself which was very stupid of me to do.)

Extracurriculars in college: I am a member of an honor society frat and I hold a leadership role in the student government.

Other: Internship at an organization last summer.

Recommendations: 1 from my English professor who I now have for my second semester and 1 from the VP of the organization I interned at.

Essays: My “Why NYU?” focused more on why NYU Tandon and why I wanted to study Science and Tech there. My transfer essay was about me changing my major and wanting to go somewhere that I could be challenged and surrounded by others with similar interests.

  • The only school I applied to for transfer was NYU and I think it helped that both of my recommenders centered their letters on NYU Tandon letting the admissions people know that NYU is my top choice.

I wish everyone on here good luck!! I know no matter what school y’all attend you will succeed.

@Purpleblue2000 Thanks for posting your stats! If you don’t mind me asking, are you transferring into NYU as a Sophomore or Junior?

@TrinityT Yeah, I’ve had the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) on my FA since the beginning.

@jw8001 I’m transferring as a sophomore

Lol NYU offered me 60k in loans when my EFC is 0

Anyone here applying from community college?

I am! @minusthebear

Has anyone heard back today?

I guess we will have to wait for another week then.

Is anyone else who got accepted planning on going to the MCC in Paris program?

I applied to CAS Econ but haven’t heard anything yet. Hopefully next week is when we will find out. Im also applying from a community college @minusthebear

Congrats! @frans223 When did you submit your application?

Thank you!! @Rosekk I submitted my application March 31st. I feel like I found out for MCC because I got into the Paris location so maybe they wanted to let those students know but I am not really sure.

Long time lurker of this forum and feel that it is my duty to give back to a forum that gave so much.

I was accepted to NYU CAS for Econ 04/25!! I can’t tell you how much weight has been taken off my shoulder, and I know that sophomore year will be better than my freshman year.

DM if you have any questions

@jasontrang When did you submit your application?
