Hi Everyone! I have been lurking on this site for awhile now, but I thought I’d make my first post and ask if people think the next wave will be Tuesday or Thursday of this week? I’m waiting to hear about CAS, and like everyone else, the wait has been incredibly anxiety inducing. I’m hoping we hear this week!
anyone one here apply to CAS comp sci? did you also put tandon as a second choice?
CAS sociology here… are we thinking acceptances and rejections will go out this week? really nervous
Do you have to specifically request they waive the SAT I just assumed they automatically disregarded it unless you sent them in?
That really sucks @Fionac2 Im sorry, I’m also an international student and it was difficult to get my transcript. Did you do the IB? Sometimes you can access it online and at least for me I was able to get a digital one and work it out with the admissions office to have it emailed.
did anybody who was accepted earlier get some sort of mail from NYU? A packet, folder, etc? I got in on Thursday so I don’t think anything is in the mail yet and I know first-year students get some sort of packet.
How fast does NYU give out financial aid decisions?
I’m a CAS sociology waiting for a decision. On my portal, there are materials that NYU indicated they received but I never submitted such as midterm report, school report, two teacher evaluations (in addition to academic evaluation), counselor recommendation, and just a letter of recommendation. All I asked was a common app recommendation from one professor. Does anyone know what happened?
I also only had 16 credits taken in my school (Boston University) as I am a rising sophomore, but I failed one class (for letting a friend look at my homework) which affected my GPA greatly… is there still hope for me because I only have 16 credits

I think we’re looking at Tandon acceptances and Gallatin rejections in the upcoming days.
@persaud10192 I applied for CAS math with comp sci as a secondary major. Also put Tandon as a second choice. Turned in my app on April 1st and had everything checked off on the 18th. Still haven’t heard back.
Stern seems to be off this year. There were a couple of acceptances last week which is really different from previous years
I also think that there were both acceptances and rejections for Tisch last year on the 15th, and not just acceptances
@jakecap1123 I got accepted 2 May and haven’t gotten any mail–I’ve been looking, too. The accepted students page seems to make reference to some kind of packet as well. Maybe they’re still coming? Or maybe it’ll all be done over email after the enrollment deposit is made.
@mellell do those 16 credits include the failed course? I believe you have to have a C or higher in order for the credits to transfer over and I remember seeing on a fact sheet that the minimum credits accepted is 16. I’m applying with 24 credits but I believe 2 of those courses (6 credits) may not transfer over to NYU due to them not matching NYU’s course content. So I believe I only have 18 transferable credits which is nerve-wracking!!

I applied to Film and TV in specific, but I was wondering how many people from any department in Tisch have heard back yet?

Also applied to Tisch film and tv, anyone willing to share their films/stats? Looking at other peoples stats/films wont change the decision but… it makes the wait a bit less agonizing lol… i have like a 3.8 at community college, no film related extracurriculars, essays were ok but not great. I love nyu but dont want to get my hopes up so if you have a harsh negative opinion give it to me !
