Hey guys I was accepted to Tandon for Biomolecular Science a while back. But I don’t know if I should accept the offer because I definitely cannot afford it and would need to take out alot of loans. Transferring as a Junior but based on my credits, it’ll also add 1-2 extra semesters so I could be graduating in 3 years instead of 2. My current institution offers a full ride and I am on track to graduate in 2 years. Goal is med school and idk what to do. Some insight from you guys would be much appreciated!
nyu recieved my fafsa and css on 4/2 when the deadline was 4/1 even though i submitted it like a week before then (BU received it 3/28). Is 4/1 a hard deadline or are they lenient at all?
@unitransferlol HI! As long as you have proof of it being SENT by 4/1 they should accept it!! The system itself processes things slowly but postmark date is what matters!
@sm1199 I’d say stay at ur current school since med school is v expensive so if you transfer to NYU and take out loans… you’d have an immense amount of debt after med school and NYU. Med school itself will give u a lot of debt but adding NYU’s debt will be even more. I feel like I repeated myself. I apologize.
@sm1199 fun fact actually, if you go to NYU for med school your tuition will be free. Are there many Tisch Film and TV people waiting to hear back? I just checked last years thread and a ton of people got accepted early may, so I’m really nervous now

@ca6882 I would have to guess that at the very earliest 3-4 pm. If you don’t get yours today maybe next week’s batch will have your decision
But last year some ppl in tandon especially claimed to have gotten their decision in the morning
for those of you that got accepted to nyu, what are some of the “hints” on the portal or albert that was noticed before getting the official decision??
also, i saw that some of you were able to put down a housing deposit?? how did u check that
my friend was accepted to Tandon for Mech E about 2/3 weeks ago but she didn’t have portal changes (i.e. transfer credit report)
can anyone else relate: I have to study for finals but waiting on decisions is such a big distraction
I applied to Tandon and I have not received my decision. I think i got rejected because a lot of people got their Tandon acceptance decisions.

Happy doomsday/decision day everyone! Based on previous Thursdays, the email usually gets sent at around 4 PM and people saw portal changes around 1 PM. I’m hoping to get some news today from Gallatin… and praying that it’s good. Wish you all the best
