what is lsp? and both are great for media and journalism. The tuition is expensive for both. But if you’re leaning toward art and journalism, then I would choose NYU.

LSP = Liberal Studies Program. It’s a great books curriculum program, I believe.

i live in so cal. so usc would be less of a hassle to move into but i also want to go far.
i heard lsp at nyu may not be worth tuituion at nyu. people say its like paying 50,000 for community college, but then again what does it matter if i can graduate as the same as the rest of the students.

just caught between the two.

My S goes to USC (film production) and my D just got into Tisch for dance and I’m a journalist.
Strictly on the merits of the journalism programs, USC’s Annenberg is stronger than NYU. They “get it” in terms of new media and the direction of the profession.
The big difference is whether you like a rah-rah campus or the buzz of a big, walkable city. USC is like a Big Ten atmosphere with sunshine. But nothing beats NYC for the arts.
Either way, can’t go wrong. Good luck!

USC sounds good to me in this case. You have to want to go to NYU to go to NYU.

i want to go to nyu. but getting lsped was sorta a turnoff for nyu, had i gotten into gallatin at nyu i would go to nyu over usc.

Well, then you need to do serious research into how likely it is you’d be able to transfer.
