Um…so I got an email from NYU this morning that instead of CAS, I was admitted to NYU Poly with a partial scholarship…did anyone else get this?

yea, and i was reading up on the POLY thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/new-york-university/673012-nyu-poly-2.html

Im not sure what to think…what am i supposed to think about all of this? NYU, er NY/NYC was basically my dream to get outta the midwest and cornfield colleges, but… is POLY worth it?

now in the POLY thread, no one says anything about Stern or CAS majors. Is POLY worth going to for stern-rejects who want some connections to the city for the future, but also receive somewhat of a good business-finance education?

im gonna make my own POLY thread for nyu rejects 2010, we should discuss this in a new one.

they must have sent the nyu poly email with partial scholarship email to all those not taken off the waitlist. it’s already july and less than a month before i’m going to move in to my college, i have already moved on.

Just goes to show you just how desperate they are for students in the poly program. I applied just to see how much scholarship they would give me. If its more than half, I might consider going.

Before you even consider nyu-Poly, please see:

Scroll down to : The TENUOUS STATUS of “nyu-POLY” for an eye-opener. IT IS NOT PART OF NYU !!!

NYU is probably trying to drum up biz for poly. Poly needs to increase enrollment, incoming SAT scores.
