<p>Ya guys so I got the email also saying I’m on the extended waitlist… I thing everyone who was on the original wait list got it… But how can they tell like 1000 ppl or even 500 that well give you hope and maybe people will drop out during the summer? What does that even mean? Do kids really drop out during the summer? This is getting ridiculous … And I’m wait listed from arts and sciences btw … What do you think our chances of getting off are?</p>

<p>I got an email today saying I’m still on the waitlist, even though I was accepted off the waitlist last week. I’m sure its an automated message for everyone who reserved a spot on the waitlist, regardless of current status.</p>

<p>I don’t get this. They’re doing things this year they’ve never done before in any other years. It’s either a yes or no…not, wait 4 months for an answer. I. Am. So. Sick. Of. Them. Either they really did send this out to EVERYONE on the list (like theReach got one), and the lady 6mt spoke to lied (wouldn’t be the first time), or the waitlist is really done (which is probably the case). </p>

<p>IDK about you guys, but nyu is my #1 so its very hard to let go without closure; im glad theyre giving us this small hope still, however frustrating it may be to not get accepted…but hey, some lucky ones out there will get a surprise during the next few weeks. i guess just hope for the best, but expect the worst.
it was great killing time on here with the rest of you guys. the anticipation really helped with the slow senior year. Good luck to all of you with your next choices, im sure you will have the best experience nonethless.</p>

<p>Yesterday i met AO in my hometown and I asked sth about wl in CAS. But she said they didn’t decide to admit more students in the class unless some students drop off. Then she adviced me to entry another school. holy s***. i donnot know how to deal with this situation. Is that means i was rejected politely?</p>

<p>When I checked my email today I thought I was hallucinating and that all the anxiety about the NYU waitlist was getting to me. After I took a few minutes to relax and had my brother look at it too, and NYU Gallatin sent me an email offering me a spot from their waitlist! </p>
<p>I am ecstatically happy and hope the best for all of you guys! I was absolutely set on another school but I’m definitely taking NYU on their offer. Do not give up! Their is still a chance!</p>
<p>Guess Stern is completely full, got my rejection letter today.</p>
