I was waitlisted and applied for gallatin. my college counselor says there’s probably not much shift or additions into gallatin from the waitlist. i’d advise putting both gallatin and another college on your waitlist form. best of luck!
Not to mention we have to wait a while to hear back from them D: Does anyone know the chances of getting off it? Like any additional info? (btw I got waitlisted for psych)
@stressedouttt My guess would be about 5% since there’s an absurd amount of people on the waitlist this year.
Just another week until May 5th!
@Isingh1347 whats the significance of may 5?
@guamboy That’s when time frame for decisions start (May 5 - August 1)
My sister got off the waitlist at Stern near the end of May so I’d never give up hope… She is graduating this year, but can’t say if ‘the ways of the waitlist have changed’
@stern2021 21% of the applicants were put on the waitlist this year… So good luck…
im so nervousss! i just want to get in. i should have applied ED. the waitlist is killing meeeeee
My D get in WL too, I am more nervous than her.
Good luck to everyone!
Does anyone know when they will declare the waitlisted people who got in?
I’ve been so anxious about getting off the NYU waitlist that I didnt get the chance to be excited for college. Good luck to everyone on this forum! I hope that we can all hear good news soon.
@bat77man666 It can be anywhere from May 5th to August 1st
This question may have been answered already, but why exactly were so many people put on the waitlist this year? I read somewhere that it’s because they’re planning on admitting 100 students for the spring, but that still doesn’t answer the question…
@unin99 Wait… where did you hear they’re admitting 100 students for spring?
I spoke to an admissions officer and she personally told me they are planning on maybe admitting students from the waitlist for the spring semester for the first time this year but they haven’t advertised it. I’m not sure how but I think it is also different then getting regular admission but instead in the spring I think there are differences. I’m sure it will all depend on how many people they are able to let in from the waitlist etc. what they end up doing with admissions for spring.
@Cemcwww Holy crap that’s insane. You think if you are given spring admission then you could go to a community college first then try to transfer your credits?
nooooo, i don’t want to get accepted springggg
Does anyone knows how many people put on the WL this year?
