@nightlock

sniffs aw you’re so nice to me, i am very grateful

i am praying really hard right now that i did well on the test. hopefully the curve will be nice

sigh do u think the CA qualifying score will rise this year? im hoping its not going to…

@hanapiano: A rise above 223 would be ABSOLUTELY INSANE. I would expect AT MOST a 1 point increase if not even a 1-2 point decrease. The 223, IMO, should stay relatively stable because of the high performance of CA states in the past. I would not expect any change or even a decrease to be honest, so there’s much hope left.

@hanapiano: I will enjoy the good news from you (crossing fingers) when December comes around. For now, any amount or worrying will only make you feel worse. TBH this is probably going to be my last post on this site until scores come out. I got the score I got and no amount of pondering will change it at this point. No regrets and best of luck. Don’t kill yourself over a test on a random Saturday morning which depends on many more factors than simply your preparation. I feel like my comments are becoming more psychological now, which is not the point of this forum :p. Hope to see you again in December. Peace.

If I got 1 math grid-in, 3 writing, and 3 reading MC wrong, what score would that be? Also, do you think the state cut-offs will be lower or higher than last year? :/

(I would have gotten perfect 80 on the math, but on the “volume of the cube” math problem, I accidentally did 6*10=120… fljflksjdsdgf)

@aquamar1ne according to the harshest scale I’ve seen (last year’s), you would have a 76 in math, a 70 in writing, and a 73 in reading, overall a 219. but thats the harshest I’ve seen, so this year’s might be more lenient, or possibly more harsh.

@nightlock

well, you get the ‘most helpful’ award for this thread :slight_smile:
after looking through all these answers, i don’t think i’ll get anywhere close to a 234…
all of this post-test paranoia can’t be healthy…

thanks and good luck!

@swerve22 Thanks so much! Washington has been fluctuating between 216-220 for the past couple years, so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens…

What’s 1 wrong on writing section?

Just watched Iron Man 3 and he said brisk mountain air. So according to Iron Man that answer was brisk;)

@samuelkim0814

1 wrong on the writing section is about a 75 on this test.

@samuelkim0814 I’ve seen 1 wrong to be anywhere from a 78 to a 75 but it is usually a 76.

@aquamar1ne no problem! haha yeah hopefully the scale is lenient this year, as i feel like this test was slightly more difficult (in CR) than previous years. however, the math seemed easier than last year’s. I’m around the same score (80 math, 71 reading, 71 writing) as you and i hope the curve is lenient! Good Luck!

what did you guys get for the “thing” question? i put development…

and also what did you get for the question with parity in the journalism reading passage? i got the answer with parity…

What were the choices for the parity question?

And you guys explain why one of the math was 18 and not 24?

@PSATPERSON
Not 24 because it asked for numbers >4000 (the 2000 series wouldn’t be counted)

6*3 = 18

How many can i miss in reading to make around a 65?

@PSATPERSON 7 or 8

Going off of the 2012 curve, around 7

What is the maximum I can miss on each section to make a 213?

Uhhh that depends.

You could get 80 in CR and M and a 53 in W lol
