October 2009 SAT II - Math Level 2

^^that was the way.

There’s nothing wrong with taking it twice…just do your best to do better the second time. A way to make up for doing worse, however, is taking multiple tests on the same day. If you simply take one, that means you were only studying for one before hand, and thus, you don’t have much of an excuse.

Also, I’ve never taken Math II prior to this…and I am personally a humanities person. I will say that this test was a absolute breeze and I am confident I got every single question right an exception to the question concerning distinct roots–depending on how you read the problem, the answers 2, 3, and 4 or 3, 4 are both true.

There has yet to be one answer in this thread that I oppose. I’m simply trying to give an indication of how I felt about the test. I’m extremely surprised, because I actually find that the Official CB test book and the SparkNotes tests were harder than this. It could be because I just happened to be very, very well versed in the topics on the test, however.

I hope your score is as big as your ego, Red.

:D

Thanks for sharing. A friend of mine said a similar thing before she got a 780.

clearly, CC users don’t take well to overconfidence.
Good luck to you, Red. If you need it.

A 780 is still good, and I hope you do as well as you think Red.

The question about law of cosines…you needed to know the measure of all 3 sides to apply the law of cosines to that one angle in the triangle right?

Yes, you need to have all 3 sides to find any angles.

So I’m curious…How do people think the curve looked based on their results?

I think the curve was generous. I know I got 4 wrong based on here, and probably a few more that I don’t remember. I answered everything though, but didn’t have time to check answers.

I got an 800 =D

WOOOHOOOOOO 710.
i know i shouldn’t be jumping for joy but.
i got 610 on my math in the full SAT & a 28 on the ACT… never had an A in math in my life.

now if only i could get my 670 Bio & 690 Math 1 up…

680 - that what i get for studying the night before the day of the test.

I’m actually very upset bout this. Thought for sure I got an 800…

^ppl like you make me wanna cry over my 730! 790 is amazing, and schools won’t care whether it’s 790 or 800 or even 780! But I do understand how it feels when you’re just short of your set goal. Cheer up, you won’t care in a day anyways.

got an 800 =) i was pretty nervous about it tho.

Apparently, having 4 omitted and 2 wrong questions can still give you a 800. =]

Then I, having omitted 5 questions, must have lost on gazillions of questions to get a 730 lol. Eagerly waiting for my score report.

780!
Can’t believe it…I omitted 4 answers too.

@Bilguun - all the Subject Test score reports tell you is:

So, it’s much less useful than the SAT report. One less thing to wait for then. :)
