October 2009 SAT Math

Is it true that #17 on grid-ins it was 667 not 333? :/

@den413

I don’t remember that so I think it was experimental. congrats :)

I got a grid in wrong… D:

Had two maths in a row… one was experimental…

@Prism: It was 666

Problem said less than 1000 thus 999/3 = 333 divisible by 3
Not Divisible By 3 = 666

Damn it… I read the question too fast :[

Thanks!

Hmm, what do you think -1 math is? Hopefully 790.

also: my friend said there was a problem about pencils – was that experimental?

and was t = 8? it was on the only MC math section, it was REALLY obvious.

Does anyone know the -x^2 and -x^3 one? The x^2 would would be the largest right because it is positive?

Well, I do remember griding in 667 but I think I misread the question. At least this is what I think now, after I read what you guys have written

October 2009 SAT Math

Wasn’t simple at all for me

Real numbers include negative numbers, so yeah it was X^2

R u sure that one triangle question wasn’t “rad3”???

I was almost 100% sure of that one

z= (x+y)^.5 right because it said square of z equaled the sum of x + y.

i also got rad3 for one of the triangle ones.

what was the question with (x+y)^2?

i remember a question that asked what does x+y= the sqaure of z or something like that, was that it?

Correct.

What was the answer to the one about translating a line down 3 units? I think I got something along the lines of y = x + 1. Anyone recall that question?

i had two grid ins… i remember the w/ the 666 answer but not the other grid in …

yeah, i got y=x+1 for that one also. Can’t remember the question, though.

irjunkie, you are correct

what was the question with (x+y)^2?

I dont know either

more details?

wat did u guys get for the 1 with 2 triangles not drawn to scale and 3 sides were = to 1

I got square root of 3. 1 triangle with side lengths 1 had hypotenuse sqrt2, then that and another side with length 1 would make a triangle with hypotenuse sqrt3.
